So I just knocked up my Cyan jars, Panaeolus Cyanescens Hawaii big island spore syringe Im pretty excited! Its my first go around with cyans so fingers crossed. While there colonizing I'll be thinking about what sub I'd like to use.... Was thinking about a poo/coir sub with a jiffy mix casing after the fact. But my experienced cultivators that have successfully grown pans, especially these. Any advice is welcome. Thanks guys, I'll update as they go along.

Appreciate it fellas! I'm slightly worried but I think I can do it, if anything the substrate has got me more worried. But I'm gonna make this work though. Once the rye starts to colonize I'll post pics.
Laters.

So by chance, how long are have the colonization times been for any of you that have grown pans? So far I'm 5 days in & I see no colonized rye grain as of yet. Is that normal? Some feedback would be great. Thanks in advance.

that completelyh depends on too many factors to answer other then five days is no reason to worry and -3 weeks is common from germination to colonized.

Followed RR's rye grain prep. I soaked my first batch for about 24 hrs & the grain felt all mushy, just wrong so I made another batch which is whats in the picture above. Only this time I soaked it for about 6 hrs, I felt it came out a lot better. And of course its knocked up with Panaeolus Cyan. Keep in mind its my first exp. with rye grains & Pans. I've only used wbs & cubes before this. I've heard grains could take a while but I dunno? I've also heard cyans can also take a little longer. Guess it just all depends. Hope that's enough background on these jars.
