Kratom question about relief for back pain

Wondering if anyone has any experience with kratom. I have had failed back surgery few years ago and finally got off of opiates and currently use cannabis for pain. Really would like some feedback on kratom. Is it legitimate for helping pain?

YES. We have a shroomery sponsor here called the Kratomeye.com I also have terrible lower back pain from a slipped disk and failed surgery. I COULD fill a scipt for oxy's but I dont believe in in pharmaceutical drugs. The kratom is a god sent because of this. It really does work. the area of pain will go numb. Although its not fully understood how it treats pain its highly theorized that rather relieving pain it blocks the singles of pain being sent to the brain. I would recommend it to anyone for any pain. In low doses kratom will work as a stimulant. In high doses a sedative. My morning dose is 2 grams becausse I have to work then re-dose 2 grams four hours later. When I get off work i take 4 grams. I would recommend the "big read" from the KratomEye.

In my opinion Kratom is better for pain, health, energy, and anxiety. But I'm a bit biased.

I had really bad reapeted whiplash, been seeing a chiropractor since I was 14. My spine has been described as a "miniature train wreck." Kratom I have found to help immensely with my back and neck pain.

Wow, Thanks for all the feedback. I have been considering this for awhile but kind of fear the opiates since quitting two years ago. I was on 60 mg morphine 4 times a day for years and oxycodone for breakthrough pain. I quit cold turkey and went through hell! Don't know how I would manage without cannabis. I think Kratom might be good for bad days. Unfortunately I live in Wisconsin and Kratom is illegal here. I can get family member to receive and reship to me though. Thanks to everyone for taking time to answer.

Chewed, fresh, leaves, retained in the mouth, have taken me from cluster headaches, in cold air, to feelings of nostalgia.
I do not typically use concentrates, mix different materials, or go under the knife, out of an abundance of caution, but find that anti-inflammatories, in adequate quantities, make adjustments comfortable and easy.

Everything has negative effect. Even your safest of marijuana e.g. paranoia. The key is to find balance. Start small say 4g and work your way up. Just gauge it from there.

I've been a frequent user for several years now after shattering my ankle. Never had to increase dosage.
The only adverse reaction I've ever had is some nausea. Mixing it with stimulants can be a bit much if you're not careful as the kratom definitely has a stimulation aspect to it as well.
I've got a cousin who kicked a longstanding oxy and crack habit by substitution with kratom.
Only other thing I can think to add is the taste is a bit much for many and they have to use capsules. I do have some friends who report they experienced no effects after trying doses in several ranges from multiple suppliers. I think they were expecting too much.
I never use extract, just simple dry powdered leaf.
Hope this helps.

Came down with a MRSA infection in my knee, my knee always hurts now, it's a constant ache to the point it inhibits concentration and sleep. A little kratom has me up and at em with no pain what so ever.

The only thing I would caution against with Kratom is the addiction factor. I have a friend that used to be addicted to opiates and although he does consider Kratom a far more benign substance, he fully admits that he's completely addicted to it now. He even gets the very same opiate withdrawal symptoms that he would otherwise get with opiates.
I've known lots of people that swear by it though. A friend of mine takes it all the time for social anxiety and claims it helps him a lot. I've taken quite a bit of Kratom throughout the years but I always observe my "4 day rule" in between doses.

One time I intentionally took a massive overdose cause I'm an asshole. It doesn't depress my breathing. It lead to tremors, loss of coordination, and intense sleepiness. After puking I laid down in a shallow sleep when it came time to puke some more I had no trouble getting up. It would not have been wise to drive because everything was jittery. I've always loved kratom and rate it a "not dead/10". It's great for pain management. It's good for work and safer then alcohol.

Tea, gel caps, or the good ol' "tods 'n' wash." Orally in pretty well whatever fashion you choose.

Kratom can be used in all those ways.
If people wanted, they could also freebase the alkaloids, or inject it.
People shouldn't even bother asking, whether a faster-acting opiate-like plant can be abused.
In real life, people have been using a black, tar-like extract, or drinking a tea, which contains lemon juice.

I have tried smoking it and didnt really get anything. Except maybe placebo? I imagine you'd have to smoke a grip of it to get any desirable effect. Haas anyone done this? My preferred method of dose is 000 gel caps. I get like a 1000 off amazon for 10 bucks I used too just mix it into water and chug it but I got over it real fast!
I personally havent found kratom to be addictive or habit forming. I'd compare it too caffeine addiction.. Which I guess can be pretty strong. As for tolerance goes if you cycle your doses you'll build tolerance realy slow. But you can always use stem and vein powder to reset your tolerance. Just take double of your average dose for 5 days and you'll be pretty close too base level again. I just finished my stem and vein cycle and went from 8 grams a day back to my regular 2. I was at work today 3 hours after my 2 ram dose and was getting wild euphoria feeling happy and alive. The stem and vein is worth remembering and is always way cheaper than the leaf kratom we use to dose.
