What could have caused this and are the ones that are black still safe to eat?

Thanks in advance.

Do they all look ready to harvest or just the black ones?

They are ready
The best time is right before or after the veil tears. A couple of them look like they could go another couple hours but all the big ones are there.

Thank you very much. Pretty stoked. Is there anything wrong with testing out some fresh ones? or should I let them all dry?

Fresh are awesome and everyone should eat some fresh from their first grow IMO, remember dried is around 1/10 the weight of fresh, so for example say you want to eat the equivalent a dried eighth, (3.5 grams) that would be around 35 fresh grams. Enjoy!

-------------------- The biggest trip of my life was realizing all of the events and actions described in posts made by this account were never real and had never actually happened, but were instead the delusional ramblings of a severely mentally ill human being. I just had to move on for my own good. I love you all.

Excellent job finding success!
Fresh is the way to go! So much better! I usually find fresh to be way lighter on the body and often times much more euphoric!
Enjoy yourself, and again congrats on a successful grow!
It looks like you have a fair number of aborts....next time try fruiting in an SGFC to promote the best microclimate!

Also next time if you didn't, dunk for 24 hours after birthing and roll in dry verm also have something under the cakes like foil or jar lids to keep them out of the perlite.
