Hi So i have 5 jars 3 are almost fully colonized and look really nice.

The other 2 look like this, can anyone please tell me if this is a contamination or any cause for concern.

I'm not an expert on contamns by any means but I'm trying to learn more about them. With that said I've had grain that looked like the second jars and was told it's bacterial.

Thanks I was suspecting it was either that or cobweb mold. From what I understand bacteria is the lesser of two evils and I can still birth these with bacteria they just wont yield as much is that right? did you birth yours or just trash them? also do you know what caused you to get it and correct it? If i can I guess I should birth them in separate terrarium to avoid cross contamination.

It's not cobweb. I don't know if there is even anything wrong with your jars, they may or may not be totally fine. If anything, they may be bacterial or made too wet, by the looks of it. If they fully colonize then birth/dunk/roll/fruit would be my suggestion. If they smell horrible it'll let you know what you're dealing with. Different contaminants have different scents, not that I suggest smelling obviously contaminated projects intentionally as that could be hazardous when dealing with molds. That said, I'd smell the hell out of that jar without fear.

Awesome thats great to hear thanks. After i inocculated the jars i thought they might have been too wet but being my 1st go wanted to let it play out and correct my mistakes next time.

Last two pics in the update do not look good. It looks like bacteria.
Tossing them away would be the best decision you could make. If you really want to fruit them do it in a seperate FC far from your workspace and other FC. It's not a good idea because what you will be doing is basically growing bacteria in an open environment and increasing risk for yout future grows.

no you didn't have any cobweb. Bacteria? yes. Yeast? Maybe. Cobweb? 110% NO. That custard mold is also bacteria.
I'd have listened to the TC.

Sorry for the confusion that looked really stupid, i wrote it at 4am on my phone and wasnt paying attention obviously.
Thanks for clearing up that the custard looking stuff is bacteria though, i thought it might have been a mold (not cobweb). i have another jar that has just started to show similar signs.

Couldn't have been more fucked than these.

Munchauzen said: OP, Inocuole is your savior. HybridprX obviously has no idea what he is talking about. You have bacteria, guaranteed, 100%. The fact that he is still arguing this when multiple veteran cultivators have said otherwise is just laughable. No, that kind of growth is NEVER good. It is not genetic diversity at all. HybridprX is very confused and misinformed.
The best course of action with bacteria is to just ignore it like its not there. You can get fruits more often than not.
severely bacterial bottle grow:

Rule of thumb is, until you see a sporulating mold, just keep on truckin'. The only time it's advisable to not try bacterial shit, is if you have a ton of production going on, and 1 bacterial jar isn't worth shit. But as a noob, every jar counts.
