Brownies. Everyone loves brownies. They're cheap, and easy to bake.

Do bring a clown. Everyone loves clowns:

Serious answer:  Take a big container of pasta salad.  That stuff is the shit and fools never remember to pick any up.  I can't enjoy the whole burgers/hot dogs kinda vibe without a healthy dose of pasta salad.  And it's easy as hell, just go to a grocery store deli.

There are more people imprisoned for the commission of drug offenses in the United States - close to 500,000 - than are incarcerated in England, France, Germany, and Japan for all crimes combined.  Examined in another way, the United States has 100,000 more people incarcerated for nonviolent drug offenses than all the countries of the European Union combined, despite the fact that the European Union has 100 million more citizens. :crankey:

Potato Salad goes great with pulled pork, or any barbque slathered meat really.
Macncheeze
Beer
Pasta salad
Deserts such as cookies are always a hit.
If I were invited to a grill out or barbque, these are the types of things I would bring.
Chips are very acceptable if you're on a time crunch, can't cook, or are short on cash.

Then forget about the BBQ but instead have an orgy with the snow bunnies and use the mayonnaise as lube

You can't go wrong with a few T bone steaks of at least an inch thickness, a great tasting but not too wild hotsauce and a bottle of Bacardi, a decent whiskey or case of good beer depending on the company.

as said before, DON'T BE THE CHEAPO OF THE EVENT :noyoudidawet:

People will judge you on whether you go long or short on contributing to the event and that opens and closes social doors in the future. Don't be napkin boy cause you'll feel embarrassed through the whole thing and it will echo in the minds of the paticipants for years to come that you shorted them.

Go long. :christmas:

Just contact a few people who are going and ask/coordinate with them as to whom is bringing what.

Bring ground beef or preformed beef patties for burgers, some kind of bratwurst or bangers, burger and bratwurst buns, macaroni, potato, or fruit salads. Baked bean and coleslaw. Chips, dips, salsa.
Cookies, pie, ice cream bars/popsicles.
Beer if possible.  Water.  Crystal Pepsi.
