No, but it's standard procedure for a cop to ask for your ID no matter if you've actually done anything wrong or not if they happen to confront you about something. They're not going to know you don't have an ID on you unless they have a reason to confront you in the first place.

Even if you think Trump is a douchebag and may become a war criminal to some degree, we already know Hillary is, and she's not even mentally fit to be president anyway. She literally has brain damage and can't even finish her sentences without abruptly going off topic sometimes. It seems like she's getting Alzheimer's.

no, but they cancan't propose to stop anyone for simply profiling them, unless they are in the area and fit a description of a crime. say a robbery takes place, or a murder, and there is someone that fits a description of said person, or they are acting suspicious, within the confines of that timeline and zone of interest, is there evidence to point to a suspect, or no? if there is simply some description of someone with a suspect hat and shirt, you can put out an APB on a shirt and hat, but often, police, they give such appropriations in descriptions, along with general height and race, but police will hone in on the wrong people fitting that description. if said wrong person becomes detained due to malconduct and they simply don't have an ID, this is no reason to let them go, but it's not reason to detain, or to arrest them. you need more than a general description of a person to make an arrest, and you can't use "no ID" as a reason to detain and arrest.

not always. sometimes police suspect the wrong people, sometimes police become confrontational with people when people do not focus on giving them their ID. they might even have their ID. point is: you don't need to have an ID to walk the streets. this isn't Soviet Russia.

Umm. You need to have a reason to run someone's ID to check for warrants. You can't just do it for no reason.

Also, Breitbart can just be ignored out of hand. They are totally unreliable.

I wasn't saying they run any persons ID just to check for warrants, I was saying it's just another reason to want to check ID, in case they are dealing with someone who may have a warrant out for their arrest. The whole point of an ID is to see who they're dealing with, making sure there's no warrant out for them is something they look for. You're a pro at hearing what you wanna hear though

nobody said that anybody said that. but it's being delineated towards that. if you say ID is required so that police can know who they're dealing with when it's Homicide: life on the streets; but that just entails that you carry your ID on you when you walk on the street...you know, just in case.

Lol, maybe we should be worried more about Trump's financial health... He owes almost a billion dollars to the Bank of China and Goldman Sacks.

It's pretty easy to avoid being detained if you don't have an ID. I've gotten pulled over without having a license on me, I just had to give my SSN and I was good to go. But whatever, you don't have to carry it, I don't see why you wouldn't expect a cop to try to figure out who you are if they confront you about something if you don't though. I mean, it's part of their job to know who they're talking to. It's hardly an inconvenience to most people. Wait, why is this such an important topic in this thread right now again anyway?
