Serious question since I am admittedly not much of a follower of politics.
I just saw a poll that said that the democratic party has some 95% of the African-American vote. Trump meanwhile, is getting ONE percent (lmao) of the black vote according to said poll.
Now even though I don't know a whole lot about politics -- I am well aware that the democratic party, election to election, receives virtually all of their (black folks) votes, save a few percent.
But are black people doing any better? The last 8 years have been under the democratic party, but aren't black people doing as poorly as they ever have statistically? The poverty rate, employment, etc.
Or am I wrong in saying that? Because it sure seems like they're at rock bottom right now.

No, you're right. Poverty and the wealth gap have expanded massively under Obama. Trump is getting a historic amount of the black vote for a republican btw. He is realistically getting around 10-15% which is more than any republican in decades. Same goes for Hispanics, but the MSM won't tell you that.
Koods wants establishment politicians to win, blacks to fall further into poverty and the wealth gap to keep expanding. That's what the TPP will do, and admittedly he doesn't care if it passes.

Democrats have gotten away with blaming GOP for everything that has gone wrong in America, and conveniently gloss over the fact they have controlled most of the poorest parts of the countries for the better part of the last century. they have controlled the presidency for Half that time, and most of congress for the vast majority of it.
Yes, black people are worse off now than they were under Bush, under Bush their wages, and home ownership went up. Under Obama and democrats, they have languished.
Under democrat policies, the black society has literally fallen apart. In the 60's, 40% of blacks owned their own business, now it's less than 7%
In the 60's, 87% of black families had a mother and father in the house, nowadays, the number is around 7%,

koods said: You're wrong.
Just did a quick search and the NAACP President disagrees with you.
Quote:
NAACP President and CEO Benjamin Jealous in an interview with David Gregory on Meet The Press, Jealous said that African Americans are doing worse under President Obama than under President Bush.
“When you look at joblessness in this country, the country’s back to pretty much where it was when this president started,” he said. “White people in this country are doing a bit better. Black people are doing far worse.”
Now that election season is over, it’s clear that the honeymoon between the Obama administration and the NAACP is over. Jealous referred that the latest Department of Labor stats, which reveal that the Black jobless rate was up from 12.9 percent to 14 percent in December. And back when President Obama first took office, unemployment rate in the U.S. was below 8 percent, but among Blacks it was 12.7 percent.
Tavis Smiley, a well known liberal commentator, said this:
Quote:
"On every leading economic issue, in the leading economic issues Black Americans have lost ground in every one of those leading categories. So in the last ten years it hasn’t been good for black folk. This is the president’s most loyal constituency that didn’t gain any ground in that period."
Quote:
In 2009, when Obama took office, the black poverty rate was 25.8 percent. As of 2014, according to Pew Research Center, the black poverty rate was 27.2 percent.
Quote:
“The median non-white family today has a net worth of just $18,100 — almost a fifth lower than it was when Mr. Obama took office. White median wealth, on the other hand, has inched up by 1 percent to $142,000. In 2009, white households were seven times richer than their black counterparts. That gap is now eightfold. Both in relative and absolute terms, blacks are doing worse under Mr. Obama.”
Quote:
From 2010 to 2013, according to the Federal Reserve, white household median wealth increased a modest 2.4 percent, while Hispanic families’ wealth declined 14 percent, to $13,700. But blacks’ net worth fell from $16,600 to $11,000. This is an astonishing three-year drop of 34 percent. Investors Business Daily put it this way, “That’s a steeper decline than occurred from 2007 to 2010, when blacks’ net worth fell 13.5 percent.” The black/white “wealth-gap” has reached a 25-year high.
I mean it's not like those quotes are from republicans. Those are staunch democrats there saying that.

They're not voting for her because things have gotten better for them in the past ten years. They're voting for her because they think Trump is a racist. And, if 99% of the black community thinks you're a racist it's probably because you're a racist.

Minorities are used as pawns by the Democratic Party. That's where the term "liberal plantation" came from, they see them as numbers, not people. They like to infantilize them rather than treat them like adults.
Reminds me of Hillary and her stupid hot sauce comment.
Charlemagne: What's something you always carry with you?
Hillary: Hot sauce
Charlemagne: Ohh, are you trying to get the black vote?
Hillary: Is it workin? (cackles like a hyena)
