Is it possible to regenerate pereskiopsis leaves from areole?

I know some Pereskia are deciduous so it happens naturally but I have never seen pereskiopsis pup out new leaves

As long as the areole is in tact youll get a new plant. I wonder if that is what youre asking though. :hmm:

They won't sprout leaves from areoles, but they will grow leafy stems out of them. True leaves are not-regenerateable (is there even such a word?), as far as I know. But maybe I should go back to my plant physiology books before I put my whole foot in my mouth...
