Hey team, I am loving the new adventure into growing (first time) and I am eager to learn lots about this. Now, I have some concerns, as probably you'd have guessed as we are in the Contam section of the forum. Here is a picture of my PF tek jar fully colonized, possibly having some contam growing inside as well? I followed the pf tek youtube series Let's grow mushrooms! videos letter by letter thus far, and I am nearing the birthing stage (I hope)
Here are pictures, please tell me what you all think. so the videos didn't say anything about taking the tin foil layers off after inoculation. The first and second pic are of a cake that is fully colonized and has 3 layers of tin foil, first layer being with 4 inoc holes. The 3rd picture is a picture of the dry verm casing layer of a stalled substrate with something growing on top. I am hoping all of these can be dealt with because I would like my first grow to have some kind of yield, after all, I'm very excited!! Please let me know asap If I need to take action ASAP

Edit: I took 4 out of 12 jars that seemed to be taking longer/stalling and removed the top foil and exposed the inoculation holes. I trust the dry verm casing on top to protect the cakes as they continue to grow. As I spent hours reading on the forums I am more and more confident that things are still going well, and perhaps the little fuzz on top is just the mycelium poking through the top. The fully colonized jars are I'd say 3-4 days fully colonized, and I am hoping to see pinning soon, but any rate, I should probably birth them in a few days yes? Thanks in advance

They're look fine to me. That is myc on top, and they're ready for consolidation and birthing.
Definitely keep foil off them lids. Sounds like so far you got this

Im glad to hear your reply, as I've read so many threads with your great opinions. So birth time?
Next time, after inoculation, just have them sit on the shelves with JUST the dry verm layer?

Verm layer and lids on . No need for foil on top of that.
