Well I got 6 colonize jars now. I am ready to transfer to bulk substrate. I had a quick question I was talking sum one they told me once I get the bulk substrate colonized I'm able to like pull a core from it and place in another monotube to generate 2 tubs from 1 is this a true statement?

No, it is not a true statement. Don't do this. I see you asked this question already.

Please look up Grain to Grain (G2G) transfer.

Do the transfer in a Still Air Box (SAB)

Could I get a link to this conversation?
Never heard of it although cant deny or confirm it. Sounds like BS to me.

:justno:

"Cores" from one tub to another??!! Terribly ridiculous...

The grains that you bring to the table when you spawn a tub has a direct relationship with the bio-efficiency of said tub...

Taking a "core" of one tub and bringing it to another is an awesome way to get zero to no results from the next.

Check my signature and look at the threads inside the agar portal. That is the best way to continue a culture. There's a reason why all of the members of this forum use agar to propagate their grows...

Cores... sorry man-your friend is remedial....

You know what. I was thinking about the whole core idea for a while. But after Morty putting it like that it really makes no sense.

Besides the obvious contam potential,
Spent sub being used to colonize sub with zero nutrients in it makes no sense at all.

I agree with grain 2 grain. I'm a noob aswell and didn't wanna buy expensive syringes. So I got a few jars from a friend and from what I hear if done correctly it's endless supply. One question about g2g for anybody else reading this n knows, but I hear g2g is kinda like cloning? I was told that any tub I did from that kind would pretty much be the same?
And maybe the person you was having a conversation with was actually talking bout g2g and not taking a core from a tub. Cause I was confused at first thinking long as it was myc something would happen.
