Spores from treasure coast strain. I got 2 ccs left so I am going use the rest of my WBS and try a G2g transfer. Wondering what SAB and my lids are tyrevk with silicon seal doesn't allow for any GE so I figure that's flawed going make lids polyfil hope to get yeild from this strain looking to make LC. Any other pointers be great.

Take the rest of your spores to agar before you do anything else with them, DO NOT make LC or grain with the rest.

Dude doesn't need to be doing any agar work, he's obviously not there yet. He SHOULD be shooting the spores he has have left into pf jars. I doubt OP would be able to successfully utilize grains to their potential at this time, even if his grain did work. Do a few PF grows and study and learn while you get that down.

Wrong.
He could very easily utilize agar and save himself from buying another syringe.

I second this opinion...I'm a super noob and just transitioned to Agar for the first time using Pasty's Plates...they are dummy proof!  Plus if done correctly he can definitely rule out if he has a tainted syringe and clean it up before dumping the rest into a PF Tek jar and resulting in contams off the rip!!

I'll look into agar and PF TEKS but I really just wanting to get one good jar even if it requires couple of trails I have a friend who been doing it for awhile seeking some his advice along with any info I find on here. Quick question what if you PC the jars without aluminum foil or coffee filters doesn't affect the jars does it?

No need for any coffee filters. Without aluminum foil your polyfil will get wet and your jars could dry out from the steam evaporation while it cools. Wet polyfil (or tyvek or whatever you are using) is a contamination vector inviting contams inside.

Wait whats wrong with this suggestion?
Like syringes are hella expensive? what 10 bucks or something? PF tek is a great place to start. Agar brings on other needed supplies that most don't already have laying around. Yes OBVIOUSLY agar is awesome for a lot of reasons but that doesn't mean its the OP's best or only option right now. :whattefuck2:

If your tek says the dark is for colonizing you have a out dated tek mate. Yes light is good for the mycelium. What tek are you following?

My first grow was PF.  Out of 6 cakes I had one contam and got a grand total of 5 grams dry.  My next 3 grows were WBS in a 40 qt mono and I got an average of 3 ounces each. I am now playing with agar(unsuccessfully).  Go one step at a time for the learning experience.  You will get the most benefit from it.

Build a still air box, the bathroom is one of the dirtiest places in the house, you will never get anywhere until you spend 7 bucks on a plastic box to do your inoculations in.

I grow EQ from milo spawn:thumbup:
Good luck dude and don't be afraid to jump into the agar and get yourself a nice EQ culture in the future. What new substrate are you using?
