and the Shroomery in general. With all the stuff that goes on here, all the drama, silliness, friendships and everything else but more importantly the sense of community and love that pours out of here for other members thousands of miles away when things go south...
I have to say I'm really proud to be a part of this community and the members that make up the site. This is pretty much the only social community i've ever really felt connected to, albeit i've had to stick around for these feelings to arise. Truly love this place, the guests, staff, and owners alike. You guys are what makes this place really tick, and I really hope to only see this place get larger, and for those that have made this place what it is to stick around as long as they can. This place has become rhizomorphic to my life, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Let us reach out for the love and beauty inside us and pulling it through our fingers on the keyboard into the outside world.
The love of friends, communion of likeminded souls is an essential part of the human experience.
The Shroomery is part of our world, a community open 24/7 to catch you with your joy and pain, your questions and answers.
Let us honor it by honoring the ties between us with proper respect.

cheers Asante. I might be rather abrasive sometimes and completely and wholeheartedly disagree with a small number of things you say on occasion, but I know your intent is well and you're actually a good person.

I'm still pretty new here. But I love how the common interests and experiences that everyone on this site shares can connect people so strongly from so far away.
The experiences we've all had, that we share with each other on here... Are so strong and emotionally powerful... They keep the community together, even when most of the people don't know each other in real life.
Because we know that we've all been to places so rich and deep. And had experiences that are so life-changing. That we can relate to each other on an emotional and spiritual level that most people you see outside of this virtual community, unfortunately, cannot understand.

I'm loving the sentiment in this thread 404. I feel exactly as you describe in OP. Through the years this place has seen me through the entire range of human emotion. It's been a rock for me, having this community, and I'm a completely changed man from the time I first joined - in no small way due to the influence the Shroomery has had on my life.
I have a lot of friends in real life, but they're almost completely detached from one another - the only time I get them all in the same place is once a year for my birthday - and I probably only see them each once a month at best. I get it, life is busy. But here, I see my friends daily, if not physically.
I've always been extremely community driven and have dreamed of being part of community for years. And here I've found it. Not quite in the way I imagined, I always dreamed of it being IRL, but with post-modern living being what it is I think what we've got here is as good as it's gonna get.
I have a fuck ton of love for this place, and that means all the people that make it what it is. Earlier I raised a drink to the community from work, and now I raise a far more enjoyable drink (an extra large Bloody Mary) to you all of you wonderful people again:

It will only destroy what you are not. --Jac O'keeffe

Thank you man, likewise. Its ok to disagree, and mutually a lot of disagreement stems from an inability to see at that time the intent someone has with a post, thart often differs from how it comes across.
No hard feelings of course

yep, couldn't have said it better myself
I've got friends in the UK still, by the way. One of them has been talking about shipping me over to visit the old gaming clan. Hope that happens, and if it does would be open to meeting you

We shall have to see man, I'm planning on bailing the fuck out of this place permanently by either December or March next year. It's a big move to shift my entire life to Australia so I'm still working on the finer details. But if you and I happen to be on this tiny little island on the same date then I shall 100% come to meet you. I still haven't met a Shroomerite (although I've talked to many on the phone), but many plans are gradually unfolding with people I've met here and I feel myself becoming more assimilated with the community as the days go by. Only just a minute ago I hoofed 20mg 3-MeO-PCE in dedication to my brother Vandago, and just a few nights ago I spent 4.5 hours on the phone to my great friend pachoo.
I don't think more words could show how much a part of my life all you guys are.
