I'm so glad you could be here to honor Acidic_Sloth. I consider you the shroomiest of shroomerites

I have not logged into the shroomery in a very long time. However this morning word reached me of this. I loved sloth like a sister. I remember talking to her on the phone. I remember hours and hours of fun doing late night madness postings back in the day. There was a time when she was a friend to me when I did not have real life friends.
I have an unread message in my pm inbox from her.
I'm never going to read it.
I want to cut but I know she would not want that.
I simply cannot right now speak as eloquently as she deserves to be spoken of so I will say nothing more.

I'd like to share a snippet of my last correspondence with her, if it's appropriate. We didn't talk often but once or twice a year we would have a 2 or 3 day message binder

It's amazing how far Slothie could spread herself out to help so many people. It's almost unfathomable. All the stories are virtually the same. People down on their luck, feeling horrible, and she was there for them. Uplifting in her own dark clever way, all the while going through her own personal hell that she didn't bring others down with unless they probed her about it. She was the quintessentially selfless individual. We should be beyond grateful that she graced us as long as she did with her presence, her wisdom, her compassion, her love.
I've avoided this thread but I can't anymore.
I'll never see another Triforce the same way again.
Goodbye Slothie. You will never be forgotten.

I recorded a song a few weeks ago, on a typically morose Sunday evening when I was sad about yet another week ending. I keep listening to it now that Slothie is gone. That same feeling I get on Sunday times a million is all I can feel now

I just want to say I'm pretty envious of someone who's able to love life so much that a week ending is something to be melancholy about. Most people just want to get it over with it seems like. Like, I'm honestly somewhat motivated by this idea, of making a given week something worth missing. Thank you for that.

It's not so much loving life, just depressed about the endless mundane cycle of work/weekend/work/weekend. Feels like there's never enough free time to actually relax and enjoy life. By the time I feel like I'm enjoying my weekend, it's over already and back to work.

I guess I read into it a little too optimistically. Still, even enjoying your weekends is a luxury not everyone gets.

I think her user account should be left as a moderator in perpetuity.

I like A_S, but no. If one does no moderating, one should not be a mod. Of course, that would wipe several mods off the list.

Perhaps a custom tag should be introduced for highly esteemed members that have passed?

A nice Deceased tag would suffice or something. The only problem I see is it make a bit more work for the moderators

I don't see why esteem should play a role. Such a tag should be applied to any member known to have passed, methinks.
