Are you talking about me? I assure you I understand the carbon cycle quite well. Natural carbon sequestering is a slow, geological process. Like many other things, it can be imitated and affected by human beings. Carbon can be sequestered "artificially" in many ways. The only problem is it requires energy, and lots of it, to do that.

Was it like 30° C? Europeans are such lightweights.
Been to countries like Thailand which averages 30s all year around even in winter and sometimes over 40s at spring and very humid but even the heat was comparable to that and plus it the way the heat changed in a short amount of time for me. It was high 30s where I was at the time but it was very average like a couple of days before so I wasn't adapted to it yet

China has over four times as many people as the US, but only contributes twice as much CO2
Europe's population is 160% of the US, but emissions are 60%

hahaha... how will you force all the other nations that dont have organizations like the EPA to comply with your wishes
You don't need to, if there's a cheap enough renewable energy source. If it's cheap enough it's fairly simple to sequester the carbon with it. Even if they used all of their oil you could still recapture the CO2 from the atmosphere if you had enough energy to do it cheaply enough. That is, of course, a very big if.
how's the cheap thing been working out so far?

now that doesn't prove anything. the term global warming is outdated. the term as it's known as now is 'climate change'.
at least try and make a convincing argument.
as 'climate change' continues, summers get hotter, winters get colder.

Climate change caused by global warming. It's not that complicated. It's not like there is global cooling, or even regional cooling. The entire planet is getting warmer.

Yeah here in Dallas it was actually a really, really mild summer by Dallas standards.

The heat you're feeling is just a vast left-wing conspiracy.
Actually, the farmer's almanac nailed it this summer. And they're saying this winter is going to be much, much colder and longer than usual - fabulous.
Also, have you guys noticed how long it has been since we've had to worry about hurricanes/tropical storms? I'm not sure what it means if anything, but if I had to guess, it means mother nature is going to bring the fucking wrath when she decides to drop one on us. I moved to NYC about 3 months after Sandy and it's effects were felt for months after I got here. Imagine what a Katrina sized hurricane would do to the Bos-Wash corridor. Total fucking mayhem would ensue.

I have to believe the powers that be recognize that this is not just an existential threat but a gauranteed apocalypse if we don't deal with it now and our putting plans in place .
This is going to accelerate incredibly fast .
I want to agree with you but it just won't happen. Or people will finally realize we're fucked (if we're not already) and try to do something about it but will be too late.
I personally believe the only effective "plan" is to leave Earth and colonize another planet. So we can start fucking that one up too.
