hahaha... how will you force all the other nations that dont have organizations like the EPA to comply with your wishes
You don't need to, if there's a cheap enough renewable energy source. If it's cheap enough it's fairly simple to sequester the carbon with it. Even if they used all of their oil you could still recapture the CO2 from the atmosphere if you had enough energy to do it cheaply enough. That is, of course, a very big if.

I suggest you guys familiarize yourselves with the actual process of carbon sequestration.

Cant we just put a filter in the air that takes out the carbon and make pencil graphite with it that would be helpful to kids in school

Really? I was only there for a couple of days and the heat started to cool down and then stabilize. I ended up going to Poland afterwards and wasn't so hot there but was hotter than the UK that's all I can say

Any carbon emissions into the atmosphere are negligible compared to the amount of methane the live stock industry produces. You're so misguided and uniformed about everything you're passionate about. It's sad really

I think Koods is a day trader or something. He is only "smart" in the sense that he has no problem shirking off productive work/creation of wealth in favor of gaming the system for his own individual benefit. It's no wonder his intellectual dishonesty prevents him from fully comprehending the farce of politically-motivated global warming claims. (ie: carbon tax scams and absolute government control schematics). As long as he gets his slice of the blood money, it's all good.

I don't like the heat. Sure when it's cold gah it'd be nice to be warm. Than 2 days in I just can't stand it. Arizona and Florida are my most hated places on earth. And I visited them in February. Fuck this.

And before you freak out and say you're right because methane is more potent than CO2... Those variables are represented in the chart. Methane is about 25 times more potent than CO2 by weight, but the weight of methane emissions are a fraction that of CO2.
Also, fossil fuel production is the greatest contributor to methane emissions.

Black Diamond said: You sure that chart takes into consideration the potency of each gas? The heading reads emissions by gas. That seems to suggest that it's referring to weight not relative effect on the atmosphere.
Not sure who is right though. Still I have no doubt humans have a very significant impact on the atmosphere regardless of the specifics.
Quote:
Emissions of non-CO2 GHGs contribute significantly to radiative forcing2 since they are more effective at trapping heat than CO2. The IPCC uses the concept of the global warming potential (GWP) to compare the ability of different gases to trap heat in the atmosphere relative to CO2. Emissions of non-CO2 gases are converted to a CO2-equivalent basis using the 100-year GWPs published in the IPCC’s Second Assessment Report
