zathras said: tombosley8 I love how those bottles turn out, I've been wanting to give them a shot myself, well a second shot the first time I was dumb over filled the containers so they stalled out a 1/4 of the way through. I'm kinda just going dub crazy right now, stupid simple. Just harvested this one today, the caps are real small, a trait that I am not sure if I like or not from this variety, they do sometimes crumple under the cap and that looks cool!

nice setup man!
yeah I love the bottle tek.
I've been using slurried cakes to inoculate the bottles and getting ridiculous speed and fruiting time when done right(really got to shake the bottles to mix the cake in).
I really like how much BE I get out of these and how easy to harvest and easy to rinse and soak for following flushes. I do think the additional cooking of the coir is very beneficial and the supplements sure don't hurt. genetics (lucky to have it) is major although I do think every variety has out preformed in the bottles for me.
They are really resilient for later flushes and even if you have bacterial contam they'll still do pretty good.
You look like your doing good spawning to bulk, keep that up as the bottles can take up a ton of room in the pc and therefore time. try it out though you may like it definitely a different style. And try the tub style in the bottle tek or the one I referred to earlier as they did better for me with bottles

so do you think that is what's causing the mutation? Like the twin towers in the background with the stem growing out of the cap?

Mushrooms should always be a little wet. Like, soaking wet right after a mist and "slimy" when it's time to mist again. Those caps look totally dry.

Caps become soaking wet after just a couple of spritz. Unlike a casing layer, which absorbs water, the water on the cap has nowhere to go. This is how my shrooms look after just a couple of spritz.

It's normal for me to mist more heavily ever since I've started using trays. They dry out pretty quick.

Yeah I've been pushing the fae to an extreme recently and even have been cracking the lid once they're about 3/4 way mature. and good info above I'm always trying to figure out what is too much and too little.

No, just dry. Very few people actually experience senescene, it's extremely doubtful that you are experiencing it right now.
The signs are easy to read, the caps should never be that dry. When my casing layer is dry, my mushrooms still have a small amount of moisture, making their outside kind of slimy. Yours are totally and completely dry, they should never be like that. Never.

Psilocybe Subaeruginosa
Great success (so far) Gotta keep my babies looking Fresh & moist.. But getting FAE and keeping low temps seems to be rather challenging for having this species in mono tubs as condensation is a bitch to work "with"! -------------------------------- ------
Nice monsterz Everyone!

Yup, I got to work on isolation to get better pinsets. I'm pretty happy with this guy regardless.

I was going to post a picture of my harvest but I ate them! Oops. Haha, it was only 3.5 dry about. They were my first MS GT grow. I got a good one that I cloned before I ate them. Got 4 petri plates hopefully one of them shows some good growth to isolate.
