Varied Psilocin content vs. early, late flush? Experienced growers please.
    #23546587 - 08/16/16 11:07 AM (7 years, 5 months ago)

Inexperienced grower, so seeking experienced growers opinions.

Does there seem to be a decrease in psilocin content vs. weight with each successive flush of the same cake?

My freind's only experience is with B+ but I imagine it's the same for most.

Just by feel, early flushes seemed to be more potent and more bluish staining.  Seems he could serve the later ones in a salad when the in laws come for dinner.  They were pretty, just didn't seem to be as blue

Thanks for all the great info on this forum!:mushroom2::heart:

 I haven't noticed any differences between flushes on potency with clones. But some genetics can take longer than others to flush, if this is MS, you can possibly just be seeing different genetics that took longer to flush with less potent fruits

Could be simply building up tolerance. If he had not grown/dosed for a while and took the first flush and then took a dose a week or 2 later which appeared weaker it could just be tolerance.

I have had this said to me, friends thinking it was "weaker than the last batch", when it was random shrooms from the same flush a couple weeks later, which were dried properly so I did not think they degraded in that time. I had taken longer breaks and found them the same.

No difference.  Potency can vary from mushroom to mushroom in the same flush or later flushes (at least with MS).  Late flushes usually produce larger fruits, which are easier to harvest IMO, thus gentler handling = less bruising.  They say that 1 gram of small mushrooms will have more goodies than a single 1 gram mushroom.  I picked a monster off a third flush(7 grams dried) that was just as potent as the smaller guys off the first flush.  I guess the point is, just fucking eat them:wink:
