-------------------- The biggest trip of my life was realizing all of the events and actions described in posts made by this account were never real and had never actually happened, but were instead the delusional ramblings of a severely mentally ill human being. I just had to move on for my own good. I love you all.

Thanks brotha! They were fast to colonize and most jars pinned well before a week of consolidation.

Not bad. Too bad ya didn't clone those, probably would have been insane in proper bulk.

I havent been able to cook up some pasty plates and have been meaning to all week. If I take it out of the dehydrator amd throw it in a paper bag in the fridge then do up some plates tonight, will the specimen still be viable?

Maybe. But they lose a lot of vigor when they get mature. Better to just try again and pray you see genetics that good in the next couple years.

HAHA oh man talk about striking out! Although There are a bunch of younger fresher pins left on the cake...would they still possess the vigor of young mushrooms? If so, there are plenty of those available for cloning, I could take one of those to preserve the genes.

They are probably different genetics. You also shouldn't clone from second flushes either, the hyphae are older and have divided more. Better to just wait and be prepared to stile while the iron is hot.

Pasty sir...I have one more question, and forgive me please, I just want to learn as much as I can. I know you said don't clone from the second flush. But I was thinking, there are several large mushrooms left from the first flush that i haven't picked yet to allow them to mature a little more. Would they be good candidates for cloning material?
Also I'm cooking up some pasty plates now, so that I'm ready for the next opportunity as you instructed.

If he was impressed i know i have something special ad i really wanna preserve something like that. Would the remaining mushrooms carry the same genetic material as the first few i harvested being from the same flush or is each individual mushroom carry its own genetics?
