Is there a way to harvest without getting aborts?

I keep having this same issue and wondering if there's a way to harvest without getting aborts. I'm on the 4th flush of a poo straw bulk. It's still flushing very well but what keeps happening is I get just as many pins up as I do shrooms that are ready to harvest. Ive been using the twist method to harvest the mature fruit and every time it interrupts the growth of the pins and they abort.
Is there a way to harvest that doesn't interrupt the pins that are forming so they mature?
Thanks!

It's normal not every pin can mature into a fully grown mushroom. I use scissors or a knife though to harvest.

Leading causes of aborts are conditions too wet, too dry, poor FAE, insufficient water, waterlogged substrate, and contamination. Get those factors all perfect and you will see far fewer aborts.

Out of all of those choices I would say the most likely at this point is waterlogged substrate. I have it in a martha greenhouse with humidity always between 92% and 96%. I have a fan that kicks on for 5 minutes every 3 hours (24/7) with dryer style louvered vents for air expulsion. In between flushes I have been watering the substrate with about 2 cups of water. It's in a container that's 24"x16" with (now after 4 flushes) about 1 1/2" of substrate. The sub shrinks after every flush.
With that info I'm guessing that the 2 cups of water between flushes is excessive.

Yeah, I've been feeling pretty fortunate to get 4 flushes but it's been happening since the second flush.

just consider all the above factors and start using scissors to harvest, there are also other more advanced methods you can try like giving your subs a rest period between flushes before rehydrating and flushing again but i havent' seen any huge benifit with cubes there

I thought about feeding them citrus. You know stuff high in vitamin C so the vitamin C would get stored in the mushroom and intensify the trip!
No, no, I didn't... But Ham! Now there's an idea. Then you can trip and not worry about being hungry!
