Possible Alaskan Psilocybe?

Hello all,

I live in Southeast Alaska, on the panhandle. About ten years ago, a very nice native elder had gone on a walk with me in one of our national parks, and told me that Liberty Caps grow there in fall. He told me a little about the shamanic work he did, and I forgot about it for about a decade.

Recently on a walk through the same park, I found the mushroom above. I had the strangest feeling when I looked down and spotted it. I felt like I'd been plucked like a guitar string and was vibrating with the absolute knowledge that this was a psilocybe.

The feeling has respectfully backed off a bit, and I would like a second opinion.

Habitat:
Temperate Northern rainforest. The climate is warm but damp in the summer, and muggy wet in the fall. I found it growing in the moss between spruce and hemlock trees. There was no visible dung, and no grass. It was growing near deerheart and twisted stalk, and a small distance away from parasitic orchids. The area was well secluded by the canopy.

Gills:
White gills, not attached.

Stem:
About 2.5 inches in length, 2 mm wide, White fading down into beige, a texture like miniature celery (strings). When I pulled it up, it was harder to pluck than the regular LBMs. The place where the root broke had a dot of vivid blue, like it was bleeding where I'd broken its vein.

Cap:
1.5 inches wide, charcoal grey (with a little brown) fading down to white, slick and wet-looking like frog skin, conical, convex, it looked like Severus Snape as a mushroom.

Spore print color:
I set up the caps for a spore print, but got nothing after 12 hours. By then they dried to nearly a crisp.

Bruising:
Freaky, vivid blue. 'The Tick' came to mind, right before smurfs.Like if "damn, that's blue" were a paintswatch.

I'd appreciate nearly any ideas.

It's one of those blueing Mycena's. Mycena subcaerulea perhaps. I don't think they're considered psychoactive, but very cool looking species nonetheless.
Mycena's have a white spore print, so that's why you didn't see the print if you printed on a paper.

Nice finds and welcome to the shroomery!

Well thank you! Good to know, I didn't know there was anything else that turned blue like that.
