After a lifelong hunt for this elusive plant, a very generous member sent me a beautiful cutting of our lady S divinorum
after spending over a week in the mail, (the only reason she survived was due to smart packaging by the sender)
she arrived to me in pretty rough shape.
I put her straight into a ziploc bag and have been filling it with my breath once or twice a day
today I decided to put her into a big humidity dome I have

Look at this fresh green growth!

Thats awesome! Look forward to seeing some updates

Everything is doing great over on my end today fellas, my two clones seem to be taking positively to me changing their soil mix, the two newest clones are doing fine didn't even need a humidity dome or anything.

Mother plant is putting on some very healthy and large growth I couldn't help but snapping some pics of the newest leaves forming they're so huge already....

Guys my big bush is starting to get yellow along the edges of some of the big leaves on top, is this a sign she needs some nitrogen?

She's in inert soil the only ferts she's had are from the perlite lol so I'm pretty sure she could use some by now.

What strength do you guys typically go? Should I treat it like cannabis and start at ¼ the recommended amount and go from there?

Winter was hard on my Salvia plants. The indoor air was just too dry. I lost two of my three plants, but not before I made cuttings and sent them off to two people who will kept them well. My third Sally I moved outside into mild summer and semi frequent rains... Here she is with a lil sister:

It might need some nutrients especially if you say that all she had so far was perlite  I use some organic "blood meal" high in nitrogen and I also use a fish and kelp fertilizer which I also use to do foliar feeding maybe once/twice a week. My Salvia loves that fish and kelp foliar feeding. Every time I spray it you can notice a big difference, the leaves get much greener, more vibrant colors, and it looks so much happier  Now, a little leaf yellowing and browning along the edges is not something to worry too much I have yet to see one Salvia that doesn't get that at some point. Another thing to remember is that no matter how perfect your conditions are the leaves have their lifespan ...yes start lower start at half the dose ...

Thanks for the answer buddy.
Yeah I wouldn't be worried but this is affecting the top leaves as well as bottom ones. Naturally plants lose bottom leaves at some point but my newest leaves are showing yellow edges... I'll give her a very light feeding today and see what happens.

Also I remember reading somewhere something about the water and that is an important factor. Most water around here has a pH of above 7. This is no good for. Neither is water water with chlorine in it. Bad water can cause stunted and deformed growth and also chlorosis and browning of the leaves. You can eliminate chlorine from water by letting the water stand for 24 hours before using or by boiling. The problem is that chloramine is used more and more which is a lot harder to avoid by boiling or by simple evaporation, that being said I used regular water for years, and yes I do get that browning and deformed growth...

They get bushy because blue lightwave LEDs promote vegetative growth which makes the plants more bushy: bigger greener leaves and more sturdy stems as opposed to the wispy ones that grow long in search of better light.

Here are my current motherplant (3rd generation mother possibly) and one of my neglected experiments that was supposed to root so that I could plant it horizontally and get like a whole bench of multiple stems popping up. It's been like this for a while because I don't have a proper pot to continue this experiment... but no sign of root rot  instead it's just making leaves under water lol!
I should definitely plant it though, any day now it will probably go bad. Also my experience is that plants do not grow well if you leave them to root for too long, I guess it exhausts them. The plant next to the bottle got a case of aphids (which miraculously were cured on my other plants - I do spray with a biological product)

I decided it was better to 'quarantine' the messed up cutting in the trash, I have too many anyway.

Maybe try hydroponics xD

That strain (and the one you have) is most likely Blosser.
As for the coloration of the leaves... it became like that over the course of the summer. Most of the time it was in my green house on the porch to keep the sun from hitting it directly but then I took it out as the sun became less intense and the rains more frequent. When I had it inside only it did not have that white / light green pattern on the leaves. Your cutting came from the same stock. =)

What are the differences between strains? Are some more potent?

Yeah Wasson & Hofmann seems a bit more potent than Blosser (palatable): http://sagewisdom.org/phytochemical.html

Here are a few more big plant pics

I've also grown under blue/red LED, and it turned some leaves purple haha:

Well this is the first time when 3 clones went bad... ... I still have hopes that they're going to bounce back... I don;t know must have been something in the soil because they look pretty bad as of now and I see some signs of rot... hmm... anyway I still have 2 under a humidity dome they look very good and this one looks like it's going to be a nice bushy one  this one made it nice!

:hellyeah:
taking some more cuttings today.

Salvia is used to a moist environment and is hard to rot IME. Hell I had one little plant freeze and turn to mush only to put shoots out from the base next spring.
