Pans or no?
    #23542967 - 08/15/16 05:35 AM (7 years, 5 months ago)

So I just moved and my neighbors have an equestrian farm. This afternoon I went for a walk through the woods and found a big spot of mostly hay and horse manure with these growing directly out of the manure. It was very humid and had just rained the night before. Temp about 80F.

Thanks for the replies, y'all. Supposedly they're edible (not very tasty, tho) but unfortunately  non-psychoactive :frown: I'm going to go back soon

supposedly, wild active pans don't grow on horse dung so if you're looking for those you'll have to find a cow field. you could find cubes on that horse dung though.

it depends on which Panaeolus species you're talking about.  there is at least one active Panaeolus that very much likes to grow on horse manure.

would that be cinctulus? or bisporous? i tend to forget the significance of the other active members of the panaeolus family because i've been so fixated on learning about cyanescens, cambodginiensis, and tropicalis.
