Found these. Cleaned them off (still wet in photo). Do I dry and powder them to make into tea?
Thanks.

They do not need to be powdered. I would slice them into 1/8" thick strips and dry them. They can be air dried, dehydrated or dried in an oven below 160F. After they are dried you want to mix 10g dried into a liter of simmering water and let sit for 40min to an hour. Remove the reishi pieces and there's your tea. I like drinking 1/2 and 1/2 reishi and coffee in the morning. It tastes a lot like chai with a bit of agave and cream

powdering them gives the material more surface area for better actives extraction I think...

I used to just boil cut up fresh fruit bodies with tea and lemon for an hour or two, the tea was very bitter from using a lot of reishi (tsugae), and would always dry my skin out if I used ever day out of the week.

Thanks, guys. The YouTube advice is all over the map in terms of boil/simmering time that's why I turned to the folks in the know here on the Shroomery.
Gonna try slicing into strips and making tea one liter at a time as suggested above by Psychedelic Pupil as that seems to be the most practical advice. Powdering seems labor intensive on two accounts - the powdering and the filtering of the tea. Who knows...maybe I'll find the tea to be too bitter and will be glad I didn't invest much time or effort in my first cup full.
Best always,

So...here's my Reshi tea. Quite palatable! I love all things shroomy so the smell and the taste I judge to be quite good. Thanks again, guys.

Awesome! Looks good to me! I enjoy the taste as well. Plus when I drink it I can almost feel mt body suckin git up so there's a psychological competent that makes the taste something I look forward to.
