What to do with a wax mess?
    #23541088 - 08/14/16 02:32 PM (7 years, 5 months ago)

I have a bag and a crinkled up wax paper that are covered in whats at least 2g of wax. Ive read alot on what to do if in reclaiming from a piece. But havent found anything helpful on dealing with good clean wax thats just been poorly managed. I have both the paper and the bag sittin in a ceramic bowl

Any suggestions?

Soak in Everclear, evaporate in small dish, transfer into non-stick.silicon container at the end while still easily scraped.

Scrape up with razorblade? Maybe heat with hairblower first.

You may not get all of the wax, but the simplest way I know of getting it off of paper and plastic is by simply freezing it.

It should be hard enough (the oil) to basically crumble and scrape it onto a new sheet of parchment within 15-20 minutes.
