Are my shrooms too big?

Serious question.
I picked this monster yesterday and he weighed out to be 76.8g wet. It weighed 8.4g when he became cracker dry after sitting in the dehydrator for longer than overnight.
I got up this morning and picked the rest of my patch and WOW. These are way bigger than I'm use to growing. If I were to eat this 8.4g shroom would it still be the equivelant of eating roughly 8g of regular sized shrooms? Or if I decide to share these am I going to start getting complaints about people not feeling them because they'd need to take more?
I'm using the logic of pins being more potent than fruits, which I was lead to believe might make my bigger fruits appear to be an 8g dose but is actually less. They were grown from clones.

Anecdotal evidence would suggest that smaller mushrooms are stronger, but that the best way to maximize your psilocybin yield is with large mushrooms. An 8.4g mushroom won't be as strong as 8.4g of small mushrooms, but it's still 8.4g of mushrooms. That's a lot.

I think one of the reasons people think smaller mushrooms are more potent came from the fact that multispore potentcy varies from mushroom to mushroom. Say you have one large mushroom that is two doses, a couple ppl split it and it just so happens to not be that potent, they eat several small ones from the same grow the potency is more averaged out. Just a thought.
Nice mushroom btw

I also think that what people don't understand is that yield matters. If you harvest a tub full of tiny mushroom that comes out to 3 oz dry, you won't likely have as much psilocybin as you would see from a tub of bigger mushrooms that came out to 9 oz dry.

Also big shrooms can still be quite potent. This one took 5 people to town.

It's actually from an outside grow. There's 4 racks PACKED in the dehydrator right now and I only pulled about half of them.
They came out MUCH bigger than my indoor grows.

I cut 1.8g off of a 9g mushroom and it made me feel exactly like I wanted it to, and maybe a little more. I'm happy

Outside grows tend to give bigger mushrooms. It's all about that FAE. I tried to grow pioppino mushrooms in a monotub inside and it was disastrous, they looked bad enough for people to say they had vert. Threw it in a garbage bag and put the garbage bag outside to discard later. Forgot all about it until I saw these beautiful big shrooms poking out of the bag.

It's possible but bulk holds much more water so it's easier to do in monos. Or just do what OP did, grow them outside. Using spent cakes to spawn pots filled with compost and/or straw would work.

Keep in mind that you should focus your work on agar if you want mad size shrooms. Growing from MS will just yield randoms. Focusing on agar work can help you preserve the most desired traits you want to see in your shrooms. It doesn't matter if it's pf-tek, more in the genes you are growing

Still waiting on my plan pots to throw something out there but I have a feeling I won't see anything till winter. Had a small flush going on from a spent mono that I spawned outside months ago but the sun got to it before I did Hopefully the next wave of rain will give me something
