For the past month and a half I have been playing with B+ spores on agar and recently dropped wedges into 7 jars. Just getting this posted now and will update is time goes on.
Set up for agar work

Took a bunch of wedges from this plate and went to more plates

Here I am today

Will update when I hit the next stages

He was taking transfers so tiger drop doesn't do him any good there. But, that many transfers from 1 plate seems redundant , unless it's one special plate

Yea I had a few realizations this time with the agar, I made like 10 plates and dropped spores on them, took transfers from 4, transferred from those 4 a bunch and ended up with a lot of plates for no reason lol.

I'll let someone else answer your question (I am new to cultivation), but it is looking really nice. Congrats man! I'll stay tuned in.

had time so I put it into fruiting conditions.
It was more wet than usual, possibly from using 2 month old coir/verm substrate who knows.

Also cool B+ jar for next tub

Looks good. I've always liked B+. Check out some of the pics in my sig, that's all B+. Seems like it never fails to colonize awesomely and can survive and fruit well under even the most extreme conditions, including aggressive bacteria. You'll have mush mush very soon.

That does look spooky. Keep a watch on that.

Bottom center might need some watching too.

yea I mean if this fails I think it's from the old coir/verm I used that sat in the bucket for 2 months. No biggy I have more spawn and was just being lazy when I did that so I'll just make up more soon

Naw it ain't the coirs fault. If there was foreign material in the coir to cause it to contam it would have been bad when you opened the bucket.

Tub contaminated, I am still thinking it was the old coir/verm. I knew the risk I was taking though, just dumped everything and cleaned it, spawning a new tub in about 2 hours again, we will see B+ shrooms soon lol.

Just spawned a new tub today 9/8.
I shook 2 of my jars and let them recolonize 2 days back, they smelled fine so I am positive it's not my spawn... I made up new substrate for this tub and everything too so if it contaminates I am not sure what is going on. It had to be the substrate though, first time using 2 month old sub and I contaminate so it's my only answer.

Bacterial grains often smell just fine and can recover from a shake, just a little slowly. That slow recovery becomes a mold vector and people are often reluctant to admit spawn as the problem. If I don't see complete recovery within 24 hours after a shake I consider the spawn bacterial or the culture weak. Jars exhibiting that behavior get cased and top fruited. My contam rate dropped dramatically once I started doing that (less than a percent).

Ok so this is tub #2 lol.
Looks a lot more normal.
Putting into fruiting today

do you do a top layer and cover over everything or is that not important?

Nice dude
I've always fruited these with a casing layer at spawn, but I think it would benefit you to case them with 1/4" field capacity cvg. Mushrooms always benefit from a casing layer just promoted proper surface conditions.
But that's not to say it won't fruit uncased. As long as there's constant beads of moisture it should technically be the same conditions as a casing layer would give. Your call brother

Curious what I end up with total off this first flush. I believe I need to add more water next time when prepping my coir/verm because it was not perfect field capacity. Wouldn't be surprised though if when I rehydrate the second flush does better
Should I just pour water down the side of the sub or just let it ride out till flush ends?

Those are good for the remainder of the flush. Bottom watering won't really make a difference right now in a first flush with that amount of shrooms. Just let them ride out, maybe even rip out the top poly till they do, and give it a nice dunk with a good amount of water for several hours, drain, and wait. Second flush will take about a week or so after that.
