Lots of pooling water in colonized jars.

Hello! I have a bunch of colonized jars that have a lot of water collecting at the bottom that I believe is causing the yellowing in my jars. I did some research although the answer on good to fruit are flip-floppy the reason is usually from sitting around overheating.what do to guys think? Have you guys experienced anything like this? I'll post pictures when I get home.

Lot's of discolored liquid is likely metabolites produced in response to bacteria.
You can use it but the chances of failure are higher, yields might be less that what they could be etc.
If I end up with a jar like that it goes in the garden as id rather focus my efforts on clean spawn, but circumstances are personal so by all means have a go.
EDIT: misread your post, if the liquid is clear then it's probably fine.
Why does grain sweat only when it's colonized? I have a few jars only a week since colonizing and there is an inch or two of water in the bottom of them.

Sorry it took so long had a suckish night. These are the jars in question. The first two is obvious metabolites, I need to toss a tub as a result haha
Cracked open the wettest one to smell, like mushrooms, tossed it in the conpost.

Those all look pretty bacterial. I wouldn't spawn any of that to be honest, especially the 4 in your first post. I suggest throwing them in a compost pile or topfruiting them. You could risk spawning but you gotta manage your expectations if you do that. They could fruit, bacteria often does. They are a bit too far gone to be worth the time and supplies for spawning IMO though.

Rye grain and gypsum PC for 90 minutes let cool overnight. MS syringe, grain transferred to twenty jars.

If you're doing that many jars I'd invest the $10 or so needed to start with agar.

That's your problem right there I reckon. MS inoculation straight to grains is risky enough, g2ging that grains to more grains is just wreaking havoc on your spawn. Every syringe is said to contain at least a minimal amount of bacteria, which isn't too bad if you don't g2g them. With a g2g they get better chance to gain a foothold though.
Ever try agar? It's the best tool for clean spawn. I use wedges on grains and frankly, I still don't g2g because of bacteria. That's how persistent it is.

Every house in every country on every continent in all of the world has contams. It's all about sterile tek.

Have you dealt with mucor before? It's this shitty black sporulating mess that popped out of nowhere. Three years ago it was typical tric and cobwebbing. Then this black shit started popping up in my plates, jars and tubs. Maybe it's always been here but it will literally suffocate trich and cobweb. I seriously hope I haven't been pulling out my hair for the better part of two years over my own technique lmao

Mucor loves high temps and lack of FAE IIRC. If it's the same thing I'm thinking of (black pin mold), I had it twice on a straw laundry basket. Both times in summer.
Seriously though, if you are getting that on agar, you need to work on your sterile tek. If you are using a SAB, make sure you are moving slowly. SABs have been a pain for me so I feel you but it's worth trying to figure it out for the sake of using agar. Once you get used to agar it's almost like you magically get better overnight at growing.

All have been at 100% for about two weeks, around when the water started pooling

Because I ran out of tubs to fruit and didn't know they would turn out like this. I've had jars sit around for months and eventually fruit in them, this really caught me off guard.

you should try to spawn your jars while the myc's still vigorous.
