hey guys i need a lil help with wbs lb to myco-quart conversion..
I started with a 10lb bag of wbs (penningtons wild finch) and 2qts of colonized spawn (rye berries)
i divided the 10lb bag into 4 large myco bags, with the idea of adding .5qt spawn to each bag, and popped them in the pressure cooker. one bag took on water and was thrown out. the other 3 bags got .5qt spawn added through g2g transfer as planned and i put the last .5qt away for later. the 3 bags are now colonized and i was wondering how many myco-quarts i actually have.

Fill jars with myco amount of grain then fill a bag remembering # of jars, place next to your colonized bag, add or subtrate until your get the same volume.
Then you know about how many myco quarts

Just use about 25-50% spawn. Use a brick per tub.

Yep. i use about 4-5 myco-quarts in a bag, then each recieves another myco quart from a colonized grain master. (5-6myco quarts total)
Bags I've made have always gone to one tub, 66qt or similarly sized tubs.

ok ty, i had planned on doing a bag per tub but then i was reading here: https://www.shroomology.org/forums/topic/4686-filter-patch-spawn-bag-tek-updated-2016/ on number 20 about it expanding to more and got confused..
ty for your help i will be taking your advice and hopefully putting it to use this weekend. when i said they were colonized i found out they in fact were not fully colonized on the bottom center but a solid mass around it so i ended up breaking it all up and mixing it up since i hadnt done that at all since the initial g2g transfer.. was kinda unsure on that move but hopefully it works out

Dont bother with off site links. I didnt bother reading it.
Heres a decent one explaining bags with a pictorial

Always good to massage bags once as you found out you cannot see the inside.
