Stalled mono tub...what to do

So I started a nano tub about 4 weeks ago. It's only about 1.5 liters. I used 3 grated BRF cakes as spawn mixed with pasteurized Hpoo and gypsum.
The thing is when I first put the tub together, I didn't make enough bulk. I made some the next day and mixed it in. I guess I didn't mix it in well enough because only about 60 to 70 % is colonized at the top half inch. The whole tub is about 90 to 95% colonized other wise. It's been 4 weeks no contams, the bottom colonized and probably consolidated by now, and actually the top parts that are colonized are starting to show primordia.
What would you guys do? wait and see if it colonizes, cut the top part off, 24 hour dunk, roll in vermiculite, and stick it in a SGFC like a big brf cake?

If I saw primordia I'd let it fruit.

But would you cut the top part off and fruit it in SGFC or leave it as it is with a mostly uncolonized surface and use the monotub?

For what purpose? I've just never heard of this before, you'll have to excuse my ignorance.

Yeah, but that's probably because of an issue with the conditions. I don't see why you would want to chop off the whole pinning surface to ensure that it can't fruit. It would have to completely rebuild the damage to the network before it could even think about starting to produce pins, easily setting you back another week or so. On the other hand the stress would be almost guaranteed to cause some side pins to form...

But if I fruit in the condition it is in now, I'm worried about the uncolonized areas contaminating.
I'm in no rush to fruit this and can wait longer if there is still a chance that the top might colonize, but after 4 weeks I'm thinking the top is dry.
That's why I'm thinking of cutting the uncolonized area and putting it into my SGFC.
If I went this way do you guys think I should treat it like a big cake? Dunk 24 hours and roll in verm.

Does anyone think it would be ok to turn it into a big cake and how I would do it?

if you say it's dry on top, give it a mist or something?
pictures might help.

I don't really know if it's dry on top since I haven't opened it. I'm assuming that it's dry since it's been 4 weeks. Do you think I should open it up and give it a mist?
best I can do with picks. Don't want to open it up because I'm scared to contam it. Coke can for reference.
In the first pic you can see it's about 90 95% colonized. Been like that for maybe 2 weeks now.

kinda of hard to tell, but hopefully you guys can see at the top left it is not colonized completely.

I think you're asking for trouble with this. If Inoc's never heard of someone trying this, it's pretty far out there. Doing things that are pretty far out there usually lead to bad news bears. You're going to have two extremely stressed pieces of mycelium if you do this.
I'd follow Inoc and mupet's advice. Put up some pictures and let's focus on your conditions and getting your tub to fruit like a tub.

I swear I've read people washing uncolonized parts on cakes, I thought maybe It wouldn't be a problem with this.
Anyway so far the only suggestion is to fruit it with the uncolonized top. I really don't want to contam exposed bulk.
Thanks for the help.

Dude fruit that sumbitch... Thats all you can really do... The air won't contaminate it, but I think if it's been this long and hasn't started fruiting already that it probably won't.

So fruit it as is in the tub?
If that's the only option will do.
I made 6 cakes all together. Three I used in the tub the other 3 in a SGFC.
The 2 of the 3 cakes in SGFC contamed as they were producing, so threw them out. The last cakes, which had a little more rolled verm just started fruiting a few days ago. Strain is B+. I'm worried that the uncolonized part will contaminate before it actually fruits.
I feel this thing is doomed, but I guess I'll try and fruit it in the tub.

? What do you mean? The substrate is 4 inches. What do you suggest I do then? a few people say to fruit as is and only parts of the top 1/2 inch haven't colonized.

From what I've researched 4 inches is perfect depth.
