Pressure Cooker
    #23528393 - 08/10/16 02:26 PM (7 years, 6 months ago)

Today I was running the pc AA921 didn't have much in it. I use a propane burner and have trouble getting the heat low enough. Kind of feeling helpless watching the gauge going up. Today it hit me ,went and got my little spray bottle out and misted the cooker didn't take much to get the pressure back to 15. Don't know if anyone else has done this . Just a tip I hate popping of the release valve.

Dude! Don't do that, it says right on the large sticker on the AA to NOT do that, it's really bad for the metal and probably super dangerous. All I can say is get a little electric burner if you don't have a stove and be careful.

Really , I don't have any paperwork or sticker. Wouldn't seem like it would hurt. I cringe the few times it has popped off . Expect to hear explosions inside. Ok then WHAT NOT TO DO. thanks:sad:

I can see how difficult it would be to keep a 921 down with a propane burner, hope I didn't sound condescending either, it was a knee jerk "danger will robinson" reaction.

No problem. First my stove is glass top. Second I am unable to use a PC on a stove,(disabilities suck). Third I read the PDF online manual. You are correct it says not to wrap in wet towels or pour cold water over it or take a cold PC and heat it to quickly.  I understand how that could be dangerous. Safety first!

Anth -that would not be cool. I've been around pc all my life. Mom used one often. Here is a question for all of you. How can you be sure the second safety is in working order? Mine is mechanical not the blow out plug. Also I own a 941 autoclave are both toggles the same pressure?
