the aryans, germanic tribe, sought soma in the mountains, amanita mascaria
once they ate all the amanita mascara they went down into the plains to the Dravidians (the natives of India) and asked for some more Soma.
they didn't have muscaria but they had cubensis, from their cows, and the aryans ate the cubensis
this is what turned the aryan God, Shiva, blue
then Krishna was born blue, reincarnated from Vishnu. Probably a hybrid of Aryan and Dravidian mating together for the love of mushrooms
HARE HARE
Indra was the god of storms who came before the mushrooms rose again
Krishna says, Dravidians - do not worship Indra for he is of the Aryan! let us instead worship the mountain!
SPLIT A ROCK I AM THERE???
any questions?

I am interested in this. I am sure you must have heard of Mike Crowley? Check him out, he has a video lecture you can see all about his book about psychedelic mushrooms and Buddhism etc. he kindly emailed me a paper he has done all about the subject your talking about. he believes that in Eastern mythos there was this kind of dramatic change from amanita mushrooms to psilocybin, and the amanita-ists, who were all about sacirices and rituals, did not like the 'looseness' of the former This is interesting because now we can research the very different effects between amanita and magic mushrooms. The former seem hit and miss and seem to be very internal, whilst we know MUCH more about magic mushrooms, and how powerfeul they are
in summary the amainita mushrooms phase seems connected with the rise of the 'heroic myths' where these patriarchal-minded warriors invaded and suppressed the Goddess peoples who were close to the land, and whose favoured psychedelic mushrooms were the magic mushrooms
but you then get eg the Brahmin caste who make sure to push myth which forbids 'commoners', the 'lower castes' from not only not being free to eat magic mushrooms but also to even KNOW of them whilst they secretly did take them!
I have my own experience of this prejudice against mushrooms. When I was 17, I joined the Hare Krishna cult, and there used to be a devotee who would come round to where I live. He once said how mushrooms were horrible and grew in graveyards and connected with demonic entities. So you can see how he was preaching the very propaganda I am meaning was generally pushed by Hindu culture going way back

the Amanitas may be heroic because they are found on mountaintops, beneath conifer trees which are evergreen trees that last through out winter and to the eye do not seem to die
the psilocybe cubensis may seem feminine because they are grown on cow dung which is of Malchut the feminine supreme power - our creator - has given us.
the dramatic change is the Aryans ate all the amanitas and wanted more so they went down the mountain into the plains where the Dravidian Cow-Lords were and ate their cubensis

I could swear Shiva turned blue because of a poison a demon was trying to let loose..?
Vishnu was described as being like a storm cloud, more of a dark-grey but often depicted blue.
Read the vedas man.
Krishna was not reincarnated from Vishnu. To say this shows a complete lack of understanding of the mythology. Vishnu is everything as is Shiva. They are not reincarnated, they appear as avatars which Krishna was. Many many sketchy and reputable sources will tell you that.
I'm confused by the motivation behind posting false information. Does it sound cool to you or something to try to tie them to shrooms?
Jesus was white because someone snorted coke ... Ya...

I read that the term "holy cow" comes from the fact that Psilocybin mushrooms grow from their droppings, and this is why cattle are held in such high regard to this day in those areas of the world you mentioned Foamy. I am not saying that is 100% accurate, just one persons thoughts on the subject I read years ago.
I have always enjoyed that Gospel of Thomas verse though "Split of piece of wood and I am there, lift a stone and you will find me" gives me chills every time I read it.
Speaking of mushroom gods, I used to live in an area where Psilocybe caerulescens grew abundantly, so would find them from April till the second frost of winter, anyway I remember many times being in disturbed habitats searching for them and hearing them call out in child like voices to me, which is exactly what some Mexican shaman claim they do, really strange man.
It's like the old saying the mushrooms find you, not the other way around, I don't know that's some crazed hippie ramblings there, but take what you will from it.
