it should be fine. I would be more worried about the pine honestly. it really depends on what youre growing though

I wouldn't trust the pressure treated wood especially if you plan on eating them, but that's just me

Yea. Should I take wedges from each side but also a wedge that takes parts of both and then fruit all three? Like culture A, culture B and culture AB.

Inoculated some agar with a wild P. Caerulescens print a I took this summer a few days ago. Not getting too excited but so far no bacteria/mold.

the right side doesn't look worth transferring to me

I really fuckin hope that with the FDA giving these some leeway that we can do some tests and figure out exactly how safe it is to eat cubes grown on questionable substrates.
We could be worrying over nothing, they might be an excellent bio filter. We could also really need to be aware of something that's been under our noses.

Getting pins before your spawn is fully colonized isn’t a good thing right? Just started to notice pinners forming in almost all my jars.

What? There's not even colonization in those jars. Are you talking about the white inner grain? It's just burst grain.Probably just a little over cooked.

Hopefully not. They’ve been incubating since 9/23. I may be mistaking but these, what look like caps, just started showing up. Didn’t circle all of them but here’s what I’m referring to.

throw that shit away and start over.
what tek are you following? even if you did spores to grain youd see WHITE mycelium not black mold.

Those are definitely not pins. Just looks like some other type of grain that found it's way in your bag. I find all kinds of weird shit in my oats, bits of stalks, corn, mineral pellets.
How did you inoculate? It looks like you tried MS straight to grain, which would explain why there's no mycelium visible cause sometimes spores are stubborn and take awhile to germinate. If that's the case at this rate you're almost definitely gonna end up with a bacterial mess.
If you used any other method of inoculation you should be almost if not entirely fully colonized.

Is it me or whenever I switch brands of agar stuff looks strange. Like I know it's clean. I just feel the agar switch confused the mycelium or something.

You didn't see those pop up suddenly because they've been there the whole time. What you're doing is thinking too much. Those are with 100% certainty other grains that come with the oats. I've seen tons of them.
And when you say incubating, which temperature do you mean? If you did spores to grain and are also keeping them at 85F+, then things aren't looking too good so far.
However, I've had jars that looked just like those do fine and sometimes spores take some time to take off, so you're not necessarily doomed but I would look into some more reliable methods like agar and be learning about that stuff while you wait on this.

You won't have mushroom fruit bodies without mycelium. And you won't have pins without colonization.
They're almost certainly existing grains and not black mold like JHOVA is suggesting. Go check your bag of grains for them and report back. I also disagree they look too wet.
If you're looking for a line check on your method, make a new thread and detail everything you've done so far. It'll be helpful to get corrected on some common mistakes before you invest more time/money into shit that won't work.
