That works but I hate the smell of vinegar.

I think jet dry does the same thing, and doesn't smell.  I've never tried it though

I absolutely love vinegar. In my mouth, in my nose, hell even if my ear if it would make it there.
Fell in love sometime back in the 90s it was... she rung a bell to the tune of long john silvers too.
Floors oddly greasy just like I would imagine the deck of a dirty pirate ship to be.

Does anybody use a leveling tool like for concrete on their subs? Or any other leveling tool?

Hmm.. I've noticed my parafilm folded over itself and stretched around my dish has been cracking around the lid allowing it to open.
Any ideas? Am I stretching it too thin? I stretch it around to make it only to the end of the beginning.

Keep your parafilm in a plastic tote. It can dry out. I use one square per dish and I don't
see this. It might of happened once or twice, but this shouldn't be happening all the time.

Hmm.. if my parafilm is already dried out is the roll boned or can I stick a humid paper towel in the tote?

It shouldn't be. Maybe just the stuff on the outside of the roll?

I am. It still takes a little work because after you lightly tamp the sub down, you will still
have places that need to be filled in by hand and re-leveled. Looks good when it's all done.

I've got some agar dishes I've been letting sit to take some in vitro clones. It's been 7 weeks and still no pins. The cultures look clean and there's condensation inside still. Should I be worried? I'm afraid I might have been better off taking a transfer or two before leaving the dishes. Right now it's the same dishes the spores germinated on.

It doesnt always happen. Pour thick with heavier nutes and it might be more likely

I'm not sure 7 weeks is far enough that I can say that they won't pin tho. I think I recall Bod saying 6 weeks was about the timeframe he expected for it to happen.
