So i'm wondering how many actual flushes I've had. Are they defined by which mushrooms reach harvest age? because if we are talking harvest age, I've gotten (3) flushes. i consider harvest age as soon as the veil breaks. Now if it's determined by appearance of the pins, well then I've only had (1) flush.

I didn't get all the pins at once, but they came close enough to be with the original pins that matured first. what now remains are many stumps. the question that remains depends on stuff. that question is will i get more? what are the keys to getting more outta my sub. i know it's still chalked full of nutes.

when i float the sub for harvest, how long am i supposed to soak it for another full on go at fruiting? that's a 2nd flush right? the subs are looking pretty heinous

I typically call a flush over after i harvest every fruit as it matures. Ms staggered pinsets are a bitch, but if they come in at the same time i consider them a flush, but its hard tp tell which ones are new sometimes.

I bet it got plenty of water during harvest. How long did that take? An hour should suffice, ive read theres little difference between an hour and 24. I tend to just bottom water as needed instead of soaking subs

i was on the clock for harvest so i filled the tubs with tap water ASAP and then took to with a bread knife. i'd say 15 min tops. start to end.

Sometimes flushes are obvious sometimes they blend together.

Dont worry about it until you burn your first dehydrator up. They will run for thousands of hours.

Hey all, do you think I'm transferring mold?

This is 3rd transfer PE and pretty much all my PE plates look like this but my other plates of PESA are significantly more clean and rhyzomorphic in appearance. Am I wasting my time on these plates?

Just looks tomentose to me, might have something riding along.

I'd give it a shot in a 1/2 pint next time you do a transfer, put that to grain and then a wedge to agar. If the 1/2 pint colonized you can G2G into however much you want.

Nope. Could be. Yes. Take your pick. Don't count on it. Probably.

No one here can tell for sure, but it CAN be cube mycelium. Make up some half-strength nutrient plates and run it over 3 of those, if you want to get it more rhizomorph. Or just keep running it on regular plates for a while. Both should work. But neither are really necessary.

Just a noob with one grow under my belt. I want to build on my spore print collection, but I need spores. I've read on here about ralphters, but all threads are very old and they aren't a sponsor that I can see. Just wondering if anyone here has dealt with them and how reliable if so. Thanks.

Thanks Lizard and Fisher, you guys rule. I'll keep moving these further along and keep playing around with them if you don't think it looks 100% shit.

Still going to work with the wild Ps. Caerulescens spores I have but got some others to try as well.  Hope to get the Ps. Roatan Honduras and Ps. Cyanescens inoculated on oats tomorrow!

Question for those doing LC. What’s the best way to test your LC? Shoot to agar? Is liquid sitting on agar ok? Or shoot to a small jar of grain?

Grain can hide contaminants sometimes. Agar is the best way.

Your print is PAN cyan cambodia AFAIK, not psilocybe cyanescens

Missed the second pic :epicfacepalm:

Started prepping jars today.  Used @Eats lid Tek on all of them then added SHIP’s on half.  Figured since I have prints and syringes I could use both.  Going to start the RH and PC’s tomorrow after prepping oats using @Bod’s Easy AF method.  You think it’s too much for me to start with two strains?  How many jars can I inoculate with each syringe?

Lid Prep:
