I meant the recipe, media + bran (media + enrichment), is gourmet. Portabella would be more gourmet if grown with light.
Portabella are white when grown in the absence of light, and brown in the presence of light. They will produce more nutrients, such as vitamins, with light and photolysis.

Thats why the GMO portabella is awesome!
It has a CRISPR induced mutation in a gene that produces pigmentation, causing "white button" mushrooms even in the presence of light (allowing all of those extra goodies to form).
Edit: I was mistaken.
It is a mutation in one of the genes responsible for oxidation and browning. I'm not sure if you grow them in light how they would respond. Sounds like a great question to ask the journal first author.

@fishermansjc, interesting accidental data share, yes mycelium love to oxidize materials. Green tea turns black-brown when oxidized, so there is an interesting example.

Do you ever cook after removing actives? (If so, best method to remove? just soft boil fruits once or twice?)
Or just cook with them when you want a meal and a trip haha

I mean yeah, but it doesn't seem absurd if you want to use it as a culinary alternative and don't want to trip sack. They are easier to grow than portabellas it seems (at least getting the temps down for portabellas isn't super viable in most set ups) and reportedly tastier

Hey Brother, Make sure you follow the instructions for your PC. They are safe if you pay attention to them. Don't walk away for 2 hours to let it work. Like so many mechanical things, things can go wrong. Someone in my area canning vegetables had their PC blow up due to inattention. Rare, but it can happen.
Yeah I’m from the south and we have a lot of PC accidents from people deep frying turkeys. They become a bomb as the pressure builds.

You don't fry a turkey in a pressure cooker. A pressure fryer big enough to fit a turkey is a couple thousand dollar piece of commercial kitchen equipment. People deep fry their turkeys in things that can't build pressure.

Yeah.. i have had days.. luckily not as much as i used to.. as i get older i just hate that i wasted my life and now it's near the end, i started working 70 hours a week at 20 and never stopped. So never travelled.. never did anything but work. Most days it's cool.. just sometimes it gets me
Spent most of today learning about dmt and extraction..
