Thanks, And the light can't be too direct? How do you gauge the correct intensity?

direct light isn't an issue
the only issue with light is the heat generated by the light... so if the light is intense enough to generate too much heat in the tub, that is when you need to adjust

The optimal intensity is daylight rated which is what you'll get from the sun. You want to provide light on a 12/12 cycle at rating around 6500K without warming up the substrate. If you're concerned with the mushrooms tropic response orienting themselves towards a light, just rotate your substrate back and forth. But it's not a big deal if they're curved either way.
For colonizing jars, you don't really want direct light as ambient is apparently better. I've personally always done pretty direct light and never had issues, though.

I leave all my monos next to a window. They've done fine and I wanna say the sunlight helps with humidity

My jars colonize in the dark, always have never changed, just how I do it because they’re all stored away where it’s convenient for me. Tubs get 12/12 though, light from window has worked just fine but direct lighting is the way i go
Lately it seems like the regular cube variety jars I let consolidate for a day or two before spawning produce more dense first flush pinsets

I do this too.I know I'll catch hell, but always have done it this way.I noc em up and put them back in their cardboard case and up in the cabinet/pantry. These PE did great on a shelf next to the window.

Where is your PC leaking? Usually if they leak, it's around the outside edge. Not around the gauge or vent.
Mine leaked a little steam around the lid edge for like the first 5 times. I was livid because I though I bought a 300 dollar piece of shit. Use some oil on the sealing surfaces and it will work. Eventually.
If its leaking around the thread holes then you have problems, if you can't get them tight enough.

This is like the 4th flush for this mono. It's B+ that I had written it off and sorta forgot about it until I noticed that there was a single mushroom growing. At first it looked normal, but then, it didn't. As you can see it's like the last half of it decided to grow as an albino. Should I be making a clone of this? Or is this just a mutation that can't be replicated?

Probably a leucistic. If so you can clone it if you want.

Does that mean the clone will be leucistic as well?

If you fruited a tub from that clone culture the vast majority of the fruits would be leucistic with a few outliers that looked like normal b+.

I've seen it a few times in my truffle jars. Good ole aerial mycelia, it could just be the myc tryin to catch a breath, seen it in bacterial plates though when the myc is making an attempt to "leap" over the nasties. Part of me wants to say your golden, part of me wants to tell you to shake it and see if any other tell tale signs of infection pop up.
I've been away too long so idk what FC's you're running but if you're skeptical and don't wanna toss it, shoebox it.

i was doing the same thing with (12) (1) pint jars. sunlight, temps hovered 86 - 75F day night cycle. and then a fucking heat wave stalled all those mother fuckers. over 90F. Got about 3 more weeks until they should be ready to crack open for a grow. It's looking like i might have to separate (2) jars and attempt a shoe box grow with'em. they are still looking white. not bright white, but white. gonna give them a good sniff when i crack them. anything shady gets set aside. and i sure as hell ain't gonna sniff anything that's any color other than white! got about 12 more in a cabinet where the temps are less likely to have high spikes. here are some photos. fucked, or maybe not, or definitely not.

SUS

the ones labled sus [bottom photo] are the 2 i'm concerned about, but i've been told they are all bacterial. we'll see what i get when i go for the grow. 3 more weeks! lighting is kinda shit in thes photos. (2) of the photos had flash.
same here. i shall see. currently got a jar i suspected all shook up. actually i'll take a look now. how long is too long to wait for jars? i'm doing a month and a week. anything past that i'm considering too long of a wait. the shook jar seems to be recovering. it may be ready to include with my grow if it continues to recover. what are the telltale signs after a shake? non recovery?
