didn't know that. thanks. i think i'll error on the side of optimism, but keep in mind that i may have a problem. the grains really weren't that dry when i PC'd them. and the growing mycelia only increased the moisture. temps are about 89 right now. SMH. i moved the jars. keeping this new set somewhere that's cooler. moved the old set in the photos somewhere that's in the low 70s. I've got over 2 more weeks for them to consolidate.

fan until it's dry to the touch not the squeeze. stirring it up will make it not dry to the touch. more or less. like i said: went in the PC with tiny droplets and not puddles. came out cooled off, and totally soaked up visible moisture. i increase heat and the grain sweats. i lower it and the grain pulls water back in.

i remember seeing a discussion here a little while back on an electric burner that is powerful enough to run a aa921
i just moved and my new place had a gas stove that immediately gives me a headache when i turn it on and the knob on the stove is pretty much useless for how much gas is being used.
i have wanted one of these for a while so this is a nice reason to finally pull the trigger
anyone have any recommendations on the electric burners i remember them being around 130

I haven't used an electric burner, but a propane burner outside would do the trick.
But propane is $$ so maybe someone will share another idea

call the fire department. gas stoves should never ever smell. if they do they are leaking and landlords are required to fix that shit.
if its yours and you own it? time to buy a new one. you can get a used(or shitty new one), perfectly working gas stove for around 200-300bux easy.
id never buy an electric stove. ever

That could be carbon monoxide poisoning. Get the stove checked out ASAP, and get a carbon monoxide detector.

Soak it in some water to dilute any nasties and spray outside or on cardboard or something.
If you got any Thai Lipa Yai prints ... I'll trade for one

You really think it's leaking? Even though it only smells when he turns it on?

Most likely the leak is in between the knob and the burner. If it gets bad enough it can catch the stove on fire under the top cover. Seen it before and it can easily get out of hand very quickly. Could also be a bad burner. Either way, needs to be fixed or replaced.

The gas has to burn to make carbon monoxide.

its not mine
the burner dial is a piece of shit literally no change in gas when i turn the knob
i have to try it a little more. as soon as i saw i couldnt calibrate the gas i made my post
cant pressure cook outside because i just dont want that attention
could use a portable propane stove but would rather not have to store a big ole container of propane as i am in a fairly small space
i found this

CBK, that's a real nice upgrade! I love the McGyver factor! Totally my style! Does the middle section have a function in drying action or is it to fit the lid on properly or something?
Anyone here ever use 25mm .2micron whatmans for grain lids?
