Oh my, what have I done.
Anyways, mold or not, everything in moderation, including moderation.
A stockboy is stacking fruit on a display, when a lady asks "Do you have any mushrooms? " The stockboy replies "Sorry ma'am, we are out of mushrooms, but we will be getting a shipment tomorrow morning" The lady looks around some more. A few mins later she runs back to him asking where the mushrooms are.
The stockboy confused about her mental state simply tells her "Sorry ma'am, we are out of mushrooms, but we will be getting a shipment tomorrow morning" The lady looks around some more then goes back to the same stockboy and asks "Where the hell do you keep the mushrooms, I need some mushrooms right now!"
The stockboy, getting frustated with his inability to explain the situation, tells the lady "Answers a couple of questions and I will get you your mushrooms from the back." The lady agrees and the man starts the questions. "Spell cat for me, as in catastrophe " she says Ok, "C A T". "Very good!" the stockboy says, "now spell dog, as in dogmatic. " The lady getting frustrated spells it correct.
Now the employee finally asks "now spell, Fuc, as in mushrooms. " She replies "There is no Fuck in mushrooms?" To which the stockboy replies "THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN TRYING TO TELL YOU THE WHOLE TIME!"

So I went to go expand my week old LC earlier and noticed a good sized drop of water on the outside of the micropore tape just sitting on the air exchange hole, it had to have been from inside the jar as there's no other water around. Does anyone know what caused this and tell me if my lc is worth working with or if I should start a new from agar.

This look right? The shaft of the heat control knob is bent, but looks like deliberately so. Otherwise it wouldn’t stick out correctly

Just PCd my first foil-less round of jars. Read something from RR saying this is bad procedure but I've seen other TCs saying it is fine.
I did a run of 7 without foil and 1 with foil and they all had the same water content inside and the polyfil dried quickly. If this batch doesn't have any issues I'll be pretty sold on avoiding foil in the future.

I foil the one in the center just because it seems to be a collection point and the lid always comes out stained with minerals and shit from the water if I don't foil it. But I haven't had any issues with water content I don't think, using sfd's.

Say I have an isolate on agar, set it to grains and grow that out. If i clone the tissue of a mushroom that the isolate produced, will i still get the same isolate on agar?
I feel like it's sort of a dumb question, but just want to make sure. I feel if it's like this, then instead of continuously sectoring from agar to agar, I could just clone from the best grow each time?
EDIT: Oh and if i were to take a clone from a 2nd flush, would that make it more likely for more mushrooms to grow on the 2nd flush?
...my thoughts at night before i go to sleep

The clone would be an isolate if it came from an isolate. They problem with doing that is over time senescence will cause the culture to grow slower, weaker, even stop.
As far as a clone from a second flush, no.

Unless of course it happens to have spores get in with the clone

Do you have links to some examples where this has been documented?
I have heard about this but never seen any thread which documents senescence occurring.

Like many things mycology related, they're repeated by folks who haven't experienced them firsthand. This isn't a knock at anybody, by the way. It's a reasonable approach to learning such a complex hobby and there's often little reason to do stuff those before you recommend against.
Senescence is obviously a real thing, but exactly when and where it'll hit is the standard, "it depends." The amount of cell divisions plays a huge role. So expanding a younger cell line is better than an older one. Similarly, not all expansions are equal, e.g., G2G with pint > pint is not the same as pint > bag, etc. Note: I've heard conflicting information on mushroom/mycelial growth WRT cell expansion/cell division and am far from an expert. But for sure, the less the mycelium has been through, the better.
While most people advise strongly against cloning from a 2nd flush, I've done it successfully with early pins and younger fruits, as have others. I've also cloned super mature 2nd flush fruits and rocked those bitches for quite a bit. I also G2G those clones multiple times (probably 3 times) and absolutely experienced senescence. My days from spawn to harvest increased quite a bit, and while my first flush yields didn't suffer much, I began getting green easier afterwards.
While you can definitely push the envelope, it's always best to start from as young of cell lines as possible. But that applies even if you're using older cell lines, i.e., if you clone a very mature 2nd flush fruit, keep the original plate to go back from. Just because it's not as young as first flush doesn't mean it's not worth cloning. You just might not be able to expand it as far or push as many flushes. To each their own.
When I have more time, I'm going to try and document cloning clones.

Thanks for all the information, Stare. I agree, while a lot of the anecdotes are accurate I have also found it is best to see for myself.
I have done 4 G2Gs with MS and have heard that trying to take a clone this deep in the G2Gs will just lead to disappointment. Have you ever taken clones from grows that have been G2G'd a handful of times? I'm thinking about going for it anyway just to see how it goes..

I think Bod is on his 7th g2g generation on some of his spawn. Maybe he is documenting something?

There's a difference between g2ging that far and cloning from a g2g that far
