It was mold guys (the agar dishes)
Btw, how many transfers it's usually take to have a clean culture?
Aaaand another question, when I got my clean plate, which is the procedure to keep this plate while using grain, transfer multiple wedges of the clean one to new dishes and this in loop?

Thanks guys! It feels good to be back at it. Here's a pic of my rescued culture 48 hours after transfer
I've also gotten into the wonderful art of DMT extraction, underwent a week long oak "dieta", did Ayahuasca 2 more times, and proposed to my girlfriend since the last time I was on (and she said yes )

Did my first tissue sample clones today with my first dicks! One like this bowling pin and one that looks more like a regular mushroom but its thick like a penis. Happy day, things looking good

I think so too. I'm gonna eat some tonight. How would you cook it fisherman. Also is this a good candidate for a tissue sample and cultivation?

I like mine pan fried in a little oil to soften and remove some water, then blast the heat and add a little white wine and garlic/ramps, cook off the wine, redulce heat, add a few tbsp of butter and let it cook a minute until golden.
I like to mix with caramelized onions and some veggies and eat over rice or couscous

Guess who sprayed a tub with iso today thats was cool. I sprayed it three or four times befor I could smell it and flipped shit I grabbed my water spritzer after & sprayed it like crazy and dumped the excess water out and repeated then left the lid ajar to evaporate the excess a little quicker.
The top of the sub blue'd is some places with a couple mushrooms on there stripes, few pins are all blue but not turning black yet. Overall it looks alot better then I thought it would and after a few hours everything is moving along

It is absolutely delicious. I'm definately putting some to agar.

I did the same thing before except I sprayed a bleach solution on mine. I still use the same recycled alcohol spray bottles for both my misting water and my sanitizing solution but try to make sure which one I grab before I use them. I can't remember what happened with the tray I sprayed with the bleach. I think it had other problems and got dumped but the smell alerted me to my mistake and I soaked it down real good with the water as soon as I realized what I did.
Another time I purposely sprayed the bleach solution on some spots of contamination and it slowed it down for a couple days but it returned stronger than before and I ended up dumping that one.
I'd think your tub will recover. It probably damaged some of the mycelium but it couldn't have got to all of it. I assume you labeled your bottles better now? I got my bleach bottle labeled on both sides and keep thinking I should spray paint it a different color or put something on the trigger to help alert me just in case I mistakenly grab the wrong one again but I haven't done it yet.
The alcohol that originally came in my spray bottles was only 50% but the bottles are real nice. I've been reusing mine for a while now and haven't worn one out yet.

Let us know if you have success, few cultivate chicken of the woods indoor. Best success is with dowels on freshly cut logs from what I understand.
If you’re interested I have an old thread I can dig up with some COTW cultivation peer reviewed paper...

Been there, got two mini glass atomizer spray bottles and I grabbed the wrong one. After one spray I felt the label on my pinky, then the whiff of iso and knew right away, ut oh. . Cake turned a little blue in one spot immediately. I fanned the iso to evap it quick then I sprayed it a couple more times with water as if to say I'm sorry. Bugger still fruited and it's on it's second flush now.
In general Myc seems to be tuff stuff.
The sig in cronicr's posts has stuck with me,,, "It doesn't matter what I think of you...all that matters is clean spawn".
I tend not to doubt that statement after all I've been gathering on the forums. Huge stressing on sterile prep and set 'n' forget fruiting. After all, the moment we birth or spawn myc, it is in a literal war zone of other spores, bacteria and overly concerned growers trying to helicopter grow mushrooms like they are cannabis. If it isn't healthy and strong to begin with it probably wont perform well anyways, just as nature intended.
TLDR: Done that, now I don't keep ISO and SAB related bottles on my grow table now since labeling didn't seem to work. See no need to keep sanitizer in a unsanitary part of the process anymore.

Yes brother. I'm definately interested in that thread. I've read up on shiitake logs before. I actually have a book on shitakes. My dad has a huge farm full of oak trees, getting fresh oak logs is definately doable. I'm gonna give it a shot.
