Well, since the LC that I put to agar a few days ago is growing fast, strong, and happy, in addition to looking clean under a scope, I nocced a quart jar of prepped WBS that's been sitting in fridge (wrapped thoroughly in plastic wrap) for about a week and then I drank a shot of the LC.

Your plastic containers could have melted for 2 reasons, either you let the pc run completely dry or the container is not pp5 or only a part isn't, like the lid.
Are you sure they melted or are just deformed? If they warped that means the vacuum crushed it for lack of a filter and that they're indeed pp5.
Completely melted u.u . The problem I Think it's the water since I used these containers several times ): Can the water of the pc touch the containers or just stay in the low part?

I don't know why, in retrospect. Shoulda kept it. I don't feel anything, so we probably don't need to ever do that ever again.

Do you need to add vermiculite to bulk substrate (cow poo)? I thought I had some, but I do not and I was hoping to spawn today.

Cow poo does need bulking up, but it can be done with straw as well.

They aren't dirty but you run the risk of germinating spores instead Of just cloning. Either way it should be just as clean

Do you think you could just take the stipe and put it to agar?

In vitro fruits and pins should be as clean as the environment they are in. If it opens and starts to drop spores, those are also clean. If you want to clone it, maybe just use a chunk of tissue instead of the whole fruit, since germinating spores isn't the same as cloning.

Yes, but spores are microscopic so you never know if there's spores on the stipe

OK, I got some vermiculite now but I already pasteurized the cow poo. Should I not add it after the fact?
