I transfered them all to new plates, I did two different recipes to see if they prefer one or the other and see how it goes. My pan plates look good, their on a different recipe from another cool member, but my cube plates all look sad. I had a handful that looked nice and now they're all ehh See how the new plates look in a day or two, I swiped some more spores on a couple plates to start over just in case

Keep in mind every culture will like different ratios and recipes. I've heard poo agar is great for pans

No because they don't have lungs.

Yes HP MEA for pans indeed. I started a few pans on it, made and identical batch of MEA without HP & growth looked anemic. Made same recipe with HP tea again and took new transfers and had the same thick & healthy growth as befor

Horse, cow, sheep, goat and chicken poo with MEA works great for any dung lover. So far I've successfully cultured: p. Galindoi, p. Cubensis (all substrains), pan. Cyanescens, pan. Bisporous and pan. Tropicalis.
Psilocybe Tampanensis does NOT like any of them. Yes, I know its not a dung lover.

1qt Shiitake spawn mixed with 500g wood pellets that were hydrated with 1250g hot water. Pellets have been heat treated once already so I'm going to skip the sterilization step

Sterilizing hwfp is pointless if you dont add supps, ahich you should for shiitake.
Lipa tek works fine for pellets which is basically what you did. A good way to get around the supp issue is to use more spawn, like a whole quart or more, per bag. You could also add them to your spawn pre pc

What I've received as p. Tampanensis will not germinate on dung agar, but every one of the p. Galindoi have germinated on dung. The Tampanensis has done good on malt yeast agar amd MEA only for me so far. Any ideas why this could be?

Been trying to germinate PE on some SAB agar for a while. I check the little shits under a microscope and see zero activity. I don't even see the lazy fucks trying to find a m8. Anyone know why spores take so many trials to finally put out?

We're fucking with you the word you should use is variety, it would take decades to try them all. Of course it'll work with all varieties of the same species

I'm not saying there aren't differences. Just saying they all consume in the same way. Genetically the differences are purely in potency and appearance

I hate that rgs is a thing. It's either grass seed or rye. I seriously doubt that it's a thing outside of the shroomery. Do you have small seeds or grain kernels? That's the true indicator of how to prep it
