Alright, I’m gonna let them go a few more days. Gotta prep more plates anyway. I was surprised that out of the 9 plates I put the spores too none have shown any bacteria. Some haven’t progressed at all but no obvious bacteria on them. Guess the print I had was relatively “clean”.

I would transfer now. You may have clean enough after first transfer, I had a clean germination plate I used the other day

Yeah I've been trying to work with agar but I feel like I'm not having alot of luck. Will keep up though refuse to quit, but I'd love some feedback or advice anyone is willing to offer. This is a 2nd transfer away from MS after I already took the 3rd transfers a while back and its grown out a bit. Since it was T2 I wanted to transfer the leading edge again to make sure its clean. Was unsure if its was rhizo on one side and cottony on the other because of genetics or if there was a contamination present on oneside or the other.

Heres what the 3rd Transfers look like after transfering the leading rhizomorphic edge

I've been using the advanced search engine like crazy & most I could find that looked like this transparent like mycelium? (mold?) was this from this response from bod 9 months ago

clear growth like this tightens up, if it's just the leading edge like that it's fine but your plates don't look like cubensis mycelium to me.
Did I get unlucky and just transfer weak genetics that are thicking up? Am I riding bacteria, or is this mold? All the post I find that sound like what I'm seeing have the photos have deleted.
Also these how do they look? Different culture but still cubes, am I being paranoid? Or is my paranoia justifiable?

I'm reading on here as many hours a day as I can haha, I'm using MEA and the only difference between t2 & t3s was t3 had slightly less MEA (0.5G difference, Agar 5G to MEA 4.5G to 250ml water) sterilized for 45 minutes at 15 psi & work in a still air box. Room has a hepa running hours befor work, shut down 3 hours befor SAB work, SAB has raised rack, damp soapy towl freshly laundered. I bathe in 70% iso my arms and gloves, and spray a 10% bleach solution im the air an hour befor going in to work and my tools sit in alcohol till they're flamed outside and brought into the SAB as needed

It's all looking good. First pic is just genetics. Second pics appear to be disliking the mutes provided. I would switch to something else. Like brf or potato flakes. You could probably even fix it by changing the amount of mea you use. Third set of pics looks great

Almost no better feeling in this world than spending 3 hours prepping and sterilizing some grain jars, just to accidentally pull the lid off of one in open air because it was unscrewed too far.

How would you determine if you should add more nutes or remove some?

I wouldn't go under 1.3% or over 2.5%

Just trial and error surrounding those numbers then? I've had some growth like that on my plates but it seemed to be more on the 1.5% plates than the 2% plates now that I think about it.

pennington classic is mostly milo and millet with a little sunflower mixed in. you can remove the sunflowers right before straining.

Sorry I haven't been around. I've been busy being herded around like cattle through apartments every day. But I'm still around.
I built a temporary Martha but my wild oysters are really unhappy in it. They look all shitty and leggy. Any recommendations for a good Martha timer and fan setup. Any links on here I can read up on it better. I'm just super busy and really want to fruit these bags I've hd Any amazon links. Looking for something heap and two day. I just don't know how to search for the timers that come on for a few minutes every hour. I keep getting the regular one hour timers. What a good search term?

Go to Amazon. Use search words "Timer Outlet, Nearpow Multifunctional Infinite Cycle Programmable Plug-in Digital Timer Switch With 3-prong Outlet for Appliances, Energy-saving Timer, 15A/1800W"

I think I caught flu. Is it dangerous for my shrooms? I got 2 trays with B+ and Golden Teacher and they just start pinnig 2 days ago. And Also I've got big mono with B+ in colonization process. I worry cause I grow em in the room I living and I have no place to move them. Is it possible to contaminate shrooms with my respiratory decease?
