Should i hydrate spore prints before swiping a dish with them? The prints are 4 years old on white paper and have been stored in a drawer.
Murderbynumbers i wish i had an answer for you. Ive always been told that if as far as you know all techniques were done correctly, then your grow ahould go smoothly. Im also learning that a hidden contam can stall out a grow without even showing itself.
Sorry for the limited response, but i felt bad for asking a question when you just asked one and havent been answered yet. Ive never grown cyans or azures, but i would love to.
Ive got numerous successful grows under my belt from years back, but im just coming back to the hobby after a 4 year break. I do know cyans and azures are a whole different ballgame than what i work with. Another reason for my limited respose.

now 2 weeks later.. some look like they just recovered and did nothing beyond that, just made everything white with 0 knots forming.
some made loads of beautiful knots and began pinning (was excited) they reached between .5-1.25'' in height and have all aborted. all subsequent pins have done the same thing.
some look to be colonizing the casing layer and aren't knotting but the myc looks healthy
Humidity, temp, Gas exchange are well within acceptable ranges based on information i've found.
Main thing i can think of is that i didn't use cpoo/hpoo. Have read that it wouldn't fruit without, but i had pinning going.. not sure why it would abort though?
any help appreciated. shy to post pics :P
I haven't done mine yet, but I think they only get so tall. I know you can do em without manure, but it seems to help. I assume either nutrition or specifically Nitrogen. Pics or it's difficult to understand your situation

Find the "official pan thread",. Read it from page one. It's a treasure trove of info. It could be your sub, or how much misting you do. They are not as forgiving as cubes when it comes to misting.

Alright I got this wheat this is like 4ish days after shake. How's she look?

Some cultures that look strange after this transfer. I don't think anything is riding but I like second opinions.

I get cultures that do funny things like that on plates. Your bottom picture I just equate to different sectors.
Dem plates look good! I got to try harder to avoid condensation. I don't think it helps that I keep my plates in the closet I fruit in. Humidity stays at 60+.

Anyone else having troubles sending PMs?
It won't go to the second page where it shows the preview and lets me send. Who should I contact for an issue like that?

Sometimes when I send messages or PM's it just skips the preview even if I have it checked. I once sent someone multiple messages before I thought to check the outbox.
Van, I'm pouring between 110-117. It's usually only the top two that do it. Ever since I put the humidifier in the closet, majority of my plates develop condensation. If I pull them out and put them on my dresser for a night or two, it goes away.
The idea is crazy to me, cause they get wrapped with three passes of parafilm. The closet and bedroom maintain the same temp. They don't contam, but moisture gets in and out

Parafilm or plastic wrap? Are you sure it's not coming from inside the agar/culture?

Parafilm. I keep all my cultivation related stuff in my closet. I never had this issue untill I put a humidifier in there. If I store them outside the closet, I don't get that issue.
