There are posts/threads on the topic going back years, none with enough merit to make it a tek worthy of propagating

Your lucky to see knots in 8 days. Pinning that quick is usually because of slight bacterial contamination or a really good culture.

Thanks for advice. And to be honest, I wasn't so lucky back there, cause after the third flush I notticed green mold crawling from the one side. Yet shrooms were clear.

So thanks everyone for support. I've just needed to weep out.

So i've got a shoebox that's finally succumb to the green after a few flushes. There are plenty of fruits that still need harvesting, mostly side pins, but i'm not sure how to go about it without spreading spores everywhere. Harvesting outside isn't an option, anyone have some suggestions.

You using a speed controller or something to block the intake?  That's rated at over 1000cfm at 1" sp.  I'm trying to find a blower that provides 430-500ish cfms. Everything is either above or below.  Most of the dayton blowers are not speed controllable.  Am I missing something. Been searching for weeks.

For me it happens from standing water on the caps from misting to often

I think sterile work can still be done at 300 Cfm/ft2. That is a bit overpowered imo as I'd want to shoot for 150.

Sto uses a blower that does a bit under 100cfm@ 1.2sp still works

A couple prefilters  a bigger blower always will work

While a speed controller would work it's absolutely terrible for the motor.

I've found where rr has started 100-125 cfm for laminar flow.  Is there a upper limit, with evidence to support that you don't want to be in that territory?

100 FPM is 0.5 meters per second. Laminar flow can come at any speed even 1000mph but we want something we can work in front. It needs to be fast enough to keep our work clean but not so fast it blows shit out of the way. So our limits are based on what's realistically usable. which is like 0.3-0.7m/s or 60-140 feet per second.

since we're usually dealing with perfect square feet or half square feet(12x18) it's easy to calculate CUBIC feet per minute or vice versa. as 100FPM over 1sq ft is 100CFM

I have a dozen bottles that have stalled. Inoculated 2/19 cased 3/12. When i cased i brought verm to field capacity. I noticed within a week the casing was completely dry and lightly misted em. Flash forward to today and reading Ak1000’ss thread on stalled bottles i took them all out of their containers washed them off and they are soaking now. There are Some minor metabolites but no signs of mold thank allah.

Should i leave the verm casing or remove it?
Whats the best thing to do to enduce pinning in my situation?

I use a speed controller, but i also use an old furnace fan that i restored that
only cost me 20 bucks. If you are using a nice dayton fan its better to just
match the blower correctly. If you use a furnace fan, a controller is almost
necessary

Its way better on the motor to choke the intake down. You could even make a "restrictor plate" then use the prefilter. The motor will appreciate working a little harder more than it will enjoy getting less power

I have a 4 speed Dayton for my 2x4. Gives me options for pre filters and a range of laminar flow.

Its a 4 speed and even on its lowest speed it blows wayy to hard. I could probably do all that but its not worth it to me honestly. If it craps out ill
Get another 20 dollar blower or even a free one
