The mycelium is forming hyphal knots all across the bin even by the spots of mold. It seems like a shame to just toss it like I did with the other 3. I'm just really conflicted. It's just a couple specs of olive green mold. Maybe I'll just let it live in the bulkhead away from everything since I don't have any other cubensis going except for the TOC grain jars and they look like the have at least 1 1/2 weeks. What do ya think. Uggh. I have to get my head on straight and focus. I'm getting so sloppy. I can't wait till I move out of this basement shit hole into a fresh clean apartment.
If your dead set on keeping them you could put some salt paste on the trich spotsm until you get a flush
Yea I'm not proud of it, but this has become a regular for me to do that.
Probably from all the times I've left things moldy sitting around, I now have a really high spore load, so I seem to get a lot of surface molds on my substrates about a week into fruiting.
If you are careful about it sometimes you can just take your hand and scoop out the bad spot. if it's just a spec I use a fork to scoop out a forkful of sub. Sometimes if i'm just a day from harvest and I spot some green I'll blast it with h2o2 to keep it from pumping more spores into the air and keep an eye on it.

The idea of keeping a moldy tub comes from scarcity of shrooms. Instead of scooping that shit out and spreading trich fragments everywhere, you should put that shit outside and let the o2 wipe it out. Sounds like you're stuck in a downwards spiral of mold

If i am a few days from harvest i just toss some salt paste on it not from scarcity of shrooms its from not wanting to toss out a bunch of nice fruits

Well, if you are close to harvest that's one thing. Get it the fuck out of there though. What is it worth in the long run? I wouldn't want it around is all I'm saying

This mold is weird. It's not trich at all that's for sure. It's not spreading and there are knots around it. It looks like the mold in the first tub dissappeared like mycelium is growin over it. That's fucking odd. And the patch in the left hand corner hasn't gotten any bigger for days. Trich usualy wipes everything out if I see any green by the next day. Also it's starting to make little primordia. I have nothing else going so I'll leave them in the bulkhead where I've had them for a few days now. Also there isn't much of an off smell either. Did the cubes win for a change?

Deer crack. Rice bran mixed with corn and they love it. I bet shrooms do too.

For me it's always been smell. The best way I can describe the smells you don't want is old books, potting soil, moldy wet basement and old abandoned building. It may be different for others. It's ever so subtle. Be careful to just get a gentle whiff or you might end up with a sinus infection or worse. Also don't niff obviously contaminated things that are sporulating.
Also I'm looking at two new places tomorrow in a few complexes and I think I'm going to take one of then. It has a little dining room that I have plans to keep all my mycology projects in. It will help me keep the rest of the home mostly just that a home and I can keep that closed off to guests. Also look at all that counter space and all those closets. I'll have to move further away from the city for the lower rent and more square footage but it's so worth it. Oh yeah and both properties have pools and nature reserves nearby for my foraging. So moving further away from the city may not be so bad after all. Living near a major fucking city in a neighborhood with high value property sucks. It's all matchboxes in my price range. I really wanted the last place I looked at but they were all like our places are in high demand and they fluctuate and quoted me almost 200 dollars more than they had listed it for online. Bastards. Apartment hunting is way fucking harder than room hunting. Damn it I hate adulting.

Apartments suck. Get a small house with a yard. Same cost. I've lived the apartment life when I was younger, but I will never go back!
Oh yeah. If your still having problems with moldy tubs it's because your spawn is dirty. I'm just now having to throw out tubs because of trich that have been in my basement since the beginning of Feb.
