Don't!
Those aren't made to burn for longer times. They literally explode. I'm not even kidding. The gasbottle is inside the burner and it WILL explode if you cook for too long on those things.

You want to get the timing right so that you are pouring just before the agar gets too thick to pour.
I pour in front of a flow hood, so I let the hood run for an extra 30 minutes after pouring. This pushes a very small amount of air through the sides of each plate and removes some condensation that forms along the sides. Alternatively you can let the plates sit unwrapped as a stack of 20 in a SAB for, say, 24 hours before wrapping. That will allow some extra moisture to escape through the sides of the plate. Then wrap, and slide them back into the sleeve they came in and tape shut. Be mindful that a warm plate with a lid exposed to a cooler temp room will produce condensation on the lid. So don't stack a plate on top of another plate that is colonizing because the warmth created by the lower plate will cause the top plate to form condensation.
Thanks brother for the time and courteous answer. I'm a noob but I've been in the hobby for 10 years now. I havnt been cultivating continuously but it's been on my mind and heart the whole time. Ive only poured 60 actual 1oo mm plates. I never had condensation problems. I like the huge surface of the Ziploc pints. I want to make them work. I'm trying to keep shit low-key around here. I don't need a bunch of Petris everywhere. If I have to I'll get some more. I've applied everything I know about pouring actual plates to pre pouring ziplocks. I've stacked em, left lids ajar for 24 hours. Nothing worked , but tonight I poured out extra water. They look good so far. If I can't make them work I'll order some plates. Thanks again bro.
I had some issues with condensation at the beginning but i found that when i let them sit for a day at room temperature most of the condensation is gone just try and experiment around you will find what works best for you. Good luck

Just clean out agar and rinse. Bout as hard as cleanimg out a pasty plate.
The PP petris ive seen are pretty damn clear. Enough for my liking
Yeah I use glass petris and they are easy enough to clean, my biggest compliant is the time it takes removing agar and cleaning them, especially if the agar dried out. I use a 1qt tupperware with 10% bleach water to open the dishes in incase of any crap and then rinse with warm soapy water after scooping the agar out, its not bad for a couple but when I have to do the equivalent of a couple 'sleeves' its a chore

Have you tried to put the ge hole in the side of the pasty plate it makes it easier to drain off the condensation without opening the lid

No I haven't. I'm not using mini rounds. I don't like how small they are and float around and flip over in my pc. I'm using Ziploc pint screwcaps. I don't want to have to cut holes in em and have a bunch if weird looking stuff in the house. I'm hoping to figure these out. I poured condensation out of a couple last night before transferring and it seems to have done the trick. That was steevos tip!

Canharo, I found a 10 pack of 100mm glass plates for 30$. Is that a good deal? How do you sterilize them and get em to the sab clean? Wrap em individually in foil?

That’s fucked but it doesn’t really back up your extended cooking times theory.
That being said, I wouldnt PC on that, a commercial hotplate (1500 watt minimum) would be much safer.

Cook longer, heat penetrating deeper, heating up case more and more, until canister gets hot enough to explode? No??
And yes, commercial hotplate is safer. Propane burners are safer too. I'd watch out which kind though, since they come in out- and indoor versions.

I have an electric stove it takes so long to heat up and get to pressure, but once it's there I hardly need to adjust the stove.

Alright well idk how long it's going to take to colonize but I'm doing g2w today with my azurescens.
Now if I'm understanding this correctly, after the last frost spawn to a bed of hardwood chips and just keep it watered? Just wanna make sure I'm not overlooking something important.
How many qts of wood spawn should I use per cubic foot?
