why on earth would you want to scoop part of the substrate out?
i don't know. i just don't like that dark green shit. it started looking grainy. maybe if it pops up again i'll leave it and see what happens.
All of them look too poofy for me to trust, did you drop spores yourself or are you using someone else's culture? Take a close-up clear picture next time and,we will tell you if it's mold. Its hard to tell with your last pic
I use a SAB in a hard floor walk in closet, agar, and i PC my jars for 30 min at 16 PSI. I'll take some better pics, but they have shrooms growing in them you can see the shrooms if you look hard enough. there are two mushrooms in each jar shot. the mycelium looks poofy. I used poofy jars to do the mono tub i'm on right now. huh. poofy. i am using synthetic filter disks. that have anything to do with you know what.
break break**************
so i'm misting too much. huh. ok. i'm going to try and do better with the next mono tub spawn run to fruit. this one will have it's run and I'll learn from it.
I ate half of that little two incher in the background on one of the photos. didn't do hardly a thing. gave the other half to a friend. i should have popped the whole thing in my mouth. it was like 2.3 grams all together. tiny little guy with not much kick.

these are supposed to be B+ by the way. this is a bad grow, but it's not failed i think. i made some temperature mistakes during the spawn run for this mono.

Leaving it alone would be better, that's bruising. Its doing ok. Your jars look good too.

Did some A2G about a little over a week ago, how long usually for quart jars? It was orginally from a few prints OF PE6 which was transfered 3 times and did another A2G with my 4th transfers just now.
Also wanted to work with a Cambodian syringe so made 6 plates and a few transfers of agar pins I got from the original pe6 plates started in the end of December on the 3rd transfer looks clean just always tomentose growth.
Here are pics of theA2G

2 to 4 weeks, a2g is not the fastest method but one of the most reliable ones.

I can offer you a theory, I have played with the thought a few times that mycelium anatomy structure changes depending of it´s environment, and that it takes a certain amount of time for mycelium to switch from one state to another. Like going from a liquid state to rizo can not happen in a matter of hours, my theory is that LC needs to kind of dry out a bit first before organized strands can begin to recover from the LC on grain. It just seems intuitive to me that liquid myc grows a little different than myc on agar and different from myc on grains. But I´m just speculating

Ive noticed that to, lc on grains looks way different from agar.
But so strange that it can cut through liquid but not soaked coir....so strange...
I think we need to take a trip an think on it, the mushie entity may enlighten us.

I've got a jar with Golden Teacher restored on agar from 2 y.o. spores I get from my first grow. And this is my second grow though. Looks good to me. Think will clone this to more and bigger jars in a week or so.

What do ya think guys?

If you’re talking about your grain jars that get PC’d for 30 mins at 16 psi, that’s the problem. They need at least about 90 mins

If it's clean go for it. But you dont 'clone' grains to more grains. You EXPAND your colonized grains via grain2grain.g2g for short.
Or your fruit those, get shrooms, cloned a shrooms on agar and that's cloning

How do these cakes look to u guys? I'm pretty much about to give up. Idk why they aren't fruiting. I'm positive the SGFC is right so it must be something with the cakes.

Dunk the month old and 3 week one, leave the others for another week or 2. Not sure which were which in the pics but some looked a little dry. Also try finding finer verm for next time, or shred it by hand. You can roll a handful in your hand and it will crumble into finer pieces

I would try again. When I did cakes they were pinning inside the jar already like crazy, if you haven't seen any pins yet probably best to start fresh.

I would stick it out a couple more weeks. Nothing will happen if they are too dry.
