Probably, I mean to harm or offense. I don't like it when people say mycelium don't need NPK, it's a lie to say otherwise. And "YES" mycelium digest the macro-micro nutrients in Miracle-Gro fertilizer and Yeast Nutrient (not yeast).

It effects coprophilous fungi too, in fact all fungi need carbon + nitrogen, to do anything. I guarantee stalling and exhaustion of any gathered nitrogen on 100% carbon.
Chitin: Cell wall, contains nitrogen. Proteins: Cell wall, other, contains nitrogen. Enzymes: Enzymes are proteins, see above.
All of the above require nitrogen.

Since we are talking about Cubensis, here is my data log. It contains the essential science, but could be better. I am willing to explain what I can, although I have only really worked with WL-Tek in terms of additives.
----
As you can see in my log, I germinated dry spores on enriched newspaper and trace sucrose (peg). The spores germinated and grew out after 4 days, which means germination was before.
To put it into a better perspective: ~48 hour germination + ~48 hour growth. Everything needed to germinate spores, and grow, where present.
----
The spawn to WL-Tek had an increased population (more mycelium), more cells, more enzymes. Visibly the Cubensis mycelium grew thick, dense and very structured, not weak, well fed.
----
The Cubensis on a tea bag was a lignicolous material test, I removed the phenol's and added trace sucrose. My sample colonized as intended, using the leaves as the substrate, and sucrose as "easy" carbon.
Tea leaves are very nutritional and contain about 2% nitrogen, the end pH was about 6.5. This is the equivalent of nutritional coir, with limited phenol's and low acidity.
Tea, leaves - Nutritional composition.

How long can you keep pc'ed jars around before inoculating? I was gonna make some c comatus LI until I checked my plate and saw this.
This was lc>a, I'm glad I didn't do liquid expansion with this like I had originally planned.
I'm stuck with a case of jars and no inoculom for it. I've already got a case of half gallons for atl7 and a case of qts for pl columbinus.

Also....
If nitrogen fixating blue-green algae or bacteria are growing on a carbon rich, nitrogen void substrate, suddenly it's nutritional to other organisms. The nitrogen fixating organism will be producing proteins and other nitrogen requiring materials, granting access to nitrogen.
Here is Summer oyster fruiting prolifically with blue-green algae on nitrogen weak cotton wood.

Oyster's also eat nematodes and yeast for proteins.

I try not to wait more than ten days.
That's my personal preference.

I sterilized some kramer cakes last year and forgot about them and they still haven't grown any mold..but I'm sure they are dry as fuck by now...Hell I put them in my attic just to see how long it would take for them to grow mold with the temp swings and all

Cool, maybe I can get my tamps cleaned up before they dry out. If nothing else I'll just have 12 control jars

Why not just add some water or use a liquid inoculate to them if they are dry from age?
Sterile water in sterile conditions obv

It might be hard to get the right moisture content by trying to rehydrate like that.

True, but that's assuming you have a scale that can weigh high enough.

Depends on the size of bags. My last batch was done with Medium sized bags (5.5x4x18") in a AA921. I fit 7 in it. 4 on the bottom and 3 on top

Ive neglected my agar work for a week.
-Brothers is it advisable to clone this mature fruits from puck directly to agar then grain?
-Would you split the stems for a cleaner tissue?
This are a month old coir pucks im getting ready for grain then bulk.
