Sorry for posting in the wrong thread. Just wanted t share this bitchy contam.
Im not sure if this is mycogone. But its been riding all my cultures. It starts as clean rhizo mycelium from the center with enmeshed aerial strands. Its so hard to distinguise it.
Did a hot pour with no luck the contam is so enmeshed.
Ive tried 6% peroxide flood for 5 min. The growth blobbed up for 4 days like mutated pins(forgot to take photo). And after the 10 days the mycelium bounced back revealing its magnifincence. Also tried 3% h2o2 without luck, its so hardy. Im tempted to use h2o2 if i see this again. Gladly 1/50 of my puck did produce some pins im gonna start from this and cook the hell out of this dishes.
No wonder ive got 80 fully colonized dishes in a month not pinning this contam is a bitch.. sharing this incase youve encountered this.

I mixed some chia seeds with water to sprout them and the gel they produce is interesting. I think it's partly comprised of cellulose. I'm wondering if there is anything interesting I can use it for in my mycology. Perhaps some experimenting should be done. Perhaps seperating the gel from the seeds could kae an interesting growth medium. Or even with the seeds in. I read it doesn't break down easily with heat. What do you guys think about this?

Oooh thanks! Maybe I can see where he left off or what he's discovered. Might as well read it while I wait for the pressure to go down in my PC.
That was pretty anticlimactic. Damn you Eat. Finish your experiments! I wasn't thinking of adding them to my cubensis substrate. I have enough suitable substrate amendments. It seems like one of those things like rice bran that would be best used as a supplement in a sterile environment. I was thinking maybe making some kind of gel culture or using the gel in cordyceps substrate or broth. I want to get my cordyceps to fruit in the traditional manner first before I experiment but I have ideas. It would be just fin to play with. It seems way to expensive by weight to be used to fruit oysters.

Yes I love chia for many reasons. It cleans out your insides and is great in smoothies and making interesting juice drinks. Maybe I could do an experiment where I grow chia on my cat so I could have a real chia pet. Just slap the gell al over her. She'd probably just lick it all off though and then poop all over the place.

Chia Garcia! Now they need to market that in the Chia pet line.
So I almost got my grain to water ratios good in my jars. I got to it and gave the jars a shake much earlier so I was able to shake it apart and break it up easier. There are still a few too many burst grains so slightly less water and it will be just right. It's cube worthy though at least just not ideal. I may end up switching back to cooking my grains and then pressure cooking them if I can't get it exactly right.
If no ones following this is me experimenting with pressure cooking the uncooked grans and water directly in the jars instead of hydrating them beforehand outside of the pressure cooker.

That's the one man. Its from PETSMART and I used it 50/50 with fuel pellets supplemented with oat bran. 2700g pellets to 50g oat bran. I made bags out of it but supplementation is too high for at least one strain I spawned to them. I assume so since tiger sawgill pinned like mad

I have jars I shot up MS that Iām gonna re-inoculate with LI. I think they were too dry
Just tore down the greenhouse, waiting on the grow tent. The vinyl wrap was shitty, definitely worth $20 so invested in something a little nicer.
