I got a bag of it an a bag of PDA in a trade the guy hooked me up so I can't complain but I am going to add a gram of telephone brand to the mix and hopefully that will solve the issue

Is there a good brand?
There are more branded ones now, I have the cheaper PH-001, I got it a few years ago, here is Amazon US | UK. You want the 0.01 meters, they have better parts. Mine came with calibration sachets, and a screwdriver.

Will be fine, just wont extract as much, you can do it again after, just strain and re-peat (hehe).

Oh sorry I guess I should have been more clear. I meant throw in a gram to the 7gram batches I have been doing.

It strained pretty dark, there's no way for me to tell if it's the right ph and I'm worried about using it. Can I overdo it?

Got an extra syringe with my AA+, creeper, doesn't look to be anything too interesting from a quick search. Think I'll pass it on to a friend to get them started, unless I'm missing anything unique about em?

Would be cool if pressure cookers had a setting to pasteurize, maybe like with a little control module that heats the substrate or casing until the desired internal temp is reached then toggle the air relief valve open and cut the heat, if temp falls below say 140 then it heats back up again
Sounds good in theory but automating a kitchen bomb sounds a bit, dangerous

Instapots can make yogurt and pasteurize milk. So it is possible.

I'll post another one tomorrow night. I like how you lift your lids. I wouldn't feel comfortable putting the lid back on an lc tou.
I do it the same way with liquids. The exception would be if I have a row of plastic lids; with plastic I'd leave the lid off the master and go through the row at once.

Soak 150g of peat in 1500g of boiling hot water, until it has fully cooled, you can also repeat the soak. Here is acidic pine (pH 3.8-5.4) being hot water soaked (test sample), then end pH was closer to pH 6.5. The water was full of removed acid's, some of the acids are broken down.

I don't want to contam my first mono with improper ph, since I can't test the peat,in just gunna use c/v

5050 peat verm is fine with out lime. Lime is only prescribed when species being grown takes a long time to pin. 50/50 peat verm is perfect for pans or cubes.
